Default Wheels & Rims

Everyone knows that the second most important decision about building your Cobra, after building your engine, is what type of wheels & rims do I want to put on my car.

I like the all polished rims...does any one have any suggestions about where to look for rims & what are some things to consider.

Are you looking for pin drive with spinner or bolt on with lug nuts?
Reason I ask, is that it appears that your choices of wheel styles in the pin drive are much fewer.

I don't have a preference, but I do want the spinner look.

I found some Edelbrock "454" wheels that are bolt ons but look very much like the Halibrand knock offs. I'm thinking they look great and are all chromed. Had a little trouble since I have the 4 3/4" bolt pattern but I think that "Whitey's Wheels" might still have availability to the 4 1/2" Ford pattern. Hard to beat the price and they are sweet.

YOu should be able to find just about every replica wheel from the cobra era in polished aluminum. Many of the makers will polish them out for a price if they aren't already

Default Wheels

I originally shopped for the Edelbrock 454's but when I looked they had stopped making them with the polished centers and they were only available in chrome. The price is right but unfortunately I wanted the polished ones. I shopped everywhere but couldn't find anyone who any polished ones on their shelves, let alone with the right bolt pattern and setbacks that I needed.

I spent a little more money and went with the Team III's and I am glad that I did. I think they are a much nicer wheel. They not only look good, but they weren't as pricey as the other Halibrand style wheels out there.

I got mine from Finish Line.

Default Team III

I have five star polished wheels from Team III. No complaints here!
