Contemporary w/ 427 TP

Bill Malone's car.
CCX-3-3346

Per many of the recent threads where we all try to guess the price or auctionability of various cars, I prefer not to disclose the price. I can say this: it is not unreasonable and I think the right buyer will be very pleased with the car.

More pictures in my gallery. Be happy to send additional on request. My e-mail address is bill.malone@netzero.net.

Red Contemporary, built in 1992 by Don Borders. Sat unused for many years. I bought the car in April 2002. It had 3000 miles on it at that point and I have put approximately 9000 more on it myself. The motor has now 12,000 since rebuild.

One of the great ones.;)

joea 03-10-2004 02:32 PM

I rode in this car. It's awesome. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for a week.

Chaplin 03-10-2004 02:48 PM

Uh ohhh, why are you selling that beautiful car? Not going arruminum are you?

BTW, who's the ugly guy taking pictures of the trunk?:p

bmalone 03-10-2004 02:52 PM

Bite me, Chappie. :D

HIQ 03-10-2004 02:52 PM

Best of Luck. Why sell it?

bmalone 03-10-2004 03:00 PM

Why? Like many of us, I have the itch to start something new. I do not profess to be a mechanical genius, but do like customizing my cars. Have a unique idea for the next one.

G.R. 03-10-2004 03:02 PM

HIQ seems most of the CA guys are getting "tin fever" bad lately:LOL:

Don't know for sure but from Bill's pics and the kudo's I've heard about it it seems a well sorted car.

Sorry Bill ---wish you well on your sale

joea 03-10-2004 03:04 PM

I heard Bill is considering using 2 - 4 cylinder engines in his next one

Tom T. 03-10-2004 04:55 PM

Bill,

Your car shows why a well-built and detailed Contemporary is still regarded as one of the best; your car in particular is outstanding.

.....then I hit my head on the head board and wake-up :JEKYLHYDE

Great looking car -- No reason to upgrade that car at all!

John McMahon 03-10-2004 07:35 PM

This will be one of those glass cars that sets that water mark.

Judging from the pics and the fact the owner was once from Joisey, I gotta believe top dollar will be fetched for this beauty.

Why he's selling it, I haven't a clue. Its like divorcing Pamela Lee.

Its a real beaut, I'd love to own it.

Our local Nazi, Fred, has one with a 427 TP, it goes like stink.

Turk 03-10-2004 07:51 PM

John,
"Pamela Lee"?
You are not suggesting that Malone's car is NOT real, are you.

Like he needs another endorsement...I rode in the car with him once. Never again.

He did inspire me to do something with my TP heads.

Nice, vey nice car.

ToyCollector 03-10-2004 08:05 PM

Oh my gawd! This thing is an absolute stunner, and I haven't even gotten a ride in it yet  The Tunnel port is definitely neat!

Excaliber 03-10-2004 08:07 PM

Wow,,,, it's a beauty all right!

Ernie

PatBuckley 03-10-2004 08:22 PM

Sorry you're selling that beauty, Bill - I hope your next one is as nice.

clayfoushee 03-10-2004 08:59 PM

It is an incredible beauty!

But, Ernie....you wouldn't pay more than $40K for it, since it's a glass 427.....right?

As Turk said in a related thread.....these things come back to haunt you:LOL:

Excaliber 03-10-2004 11:29 PM

What I would pay is something entirley different than what the market might bare! I favor small blocks myself, but surely do appreciate a well executed and classic BB, such as this one!

I was recently offered a VERY BB, V-10 in fact at a decent price. Turned it down.......

Bill,
Good luck with the sale of your car. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding the right buyer since it is the finest contemporary I have ever seen...and a tunnel port!

Jeff
