Brilliant Dan and Lurk.........!!!!! I think we all should do everything we can to cook these guys.
I also agree that E-Bay should be reprimanded. I've reported 4 Cobra frauds in the last month, yet they keep letting them in. They really ought to know enough to spot these now.
But the bottom line is WHY does E-Bay allow the "pre-authorized" bidder format? That's just a way for the scammer to start the e-mail dialog sooner than the auction supposedly closes, so he can get the money wired quickly before the scam is busted.
