Default ERA #2017 - 289 FIA Street Version

All members:

Now that CSX 4349 has been delivered and is in the process of final assembly, I am considering selling my ERA#2017 a 289 FIA Street Version. Pictures of the car are posted in my gallery. And yes, the 48IDA Webers are installed.

I finally told my wife last night that I purchased another Cobra back in January (big mistake waiting 4 months to tell her). While it went over better than I thought it would, she was not overwhelmed with enthusiasm. She refuses to park her car in the driveway since garage space is now tight (5 cars can't fit into a 2 car garage - even with lifts). I need to keep harmony with the wife!

Not to bore those not interested, members interested in the car can private message me for more information. I will be happy to further discuss the car in private and email you additional pictures along with a complete specification/option sheet on the car.

Car is fully sorted with approximately 1,300 miles (changes weekly depending on the weather) and just completed a "full" spring tune-up by HRE Motors in NY last month at a cost of $1,300.00. Complete records and photos, build sheet and all manuals are included. Car is ready now.

Price $48,500.00

To all inquiries:

Thanks all to those with interest in my 289. The big question everybody has been asking, what year is the car titled. As a result so I do not need to answer everybody individually, I will post it here.

Car was originally titled in CT and had a CT vin number assigned. Title was changed to NJ in 2003 and is currently titled as a 1998 REC (in NJ). Car currently maintains collector car status not QQ plates.

Note, the engine was certified by both CT and NJ DMV, with a 1967 Ford 289 engine when titled. This solves any emission testing problems an owner may have. Any other specific questions, let me know.

In response to your emails:

1. No I will not sell the the weber setup separately. Should a buyer not want them, would be happy to swap them out, then sell apart.

2. I have been having trouble sending the specification/option sheet by email (file problem). Will be happy to fax, just send me your fax number.

3. Total build cost - just over $80K.

Thanks all for the interest in ERA 2017.

Well my CSX car is getting closer to completion (looks like it will be July 2003) and the wife is now pushing me to move out the ERA to make room in the garage. Building another garage is not an option in our town.

To all that have expressed interest or made offers over the past month, I would be willing to take the first $44,000 (best offer I have received to date is $42,500) if I can move out the car before the CSX arrives. Car is worth every penny and more - you will never find a better ERA 289.

I have corrected the file problem as it relates to my specification/option build sheet and would be happy to email to any other potential buyers.
