2003 Shell Valley for Sale in Cincinnati, Ohio . . .
Due to unforeseen financial misfortune, I am selling my Shell Valley Cobra. I purchased this car from Rick Carnahan of Woodward, Oklahoma from this website last Fall. The car is a 67 AC Cobra replica from Shell Valley painted Pitch Black with Heavy Metallic Silver stripes in basecoat/clearcoat style by Robert Ferguson of Woodward, OK. Powerplant is a 351 Windsor with 4V Australian Cleveland heads ("Cleavor") bearing only 540 GENTLE miles! I bought the car last Fall with 340 miles, and have personally added 200 to the odometer this Spring. Transmission is a T-5, and rear-end is a 9-inch Ford with 3:90 gears and Detroit Locker. The car has tubular A-arms with both front and rear coil-over adjustable shocks from Shell Valley, four-wheel disc brakes, and adjustable proportioning master cylinder from Shell Valley as well. Roll-bar and sidepipes are chromed, windshield has widwings, and interior is black vinyl and black carpeted. Bumpers are black powdercoat quick-jacks, radiator is aluminum with a single 16" electric fan, and all gauges are VDO. I intend to post photographs as soon as weather permits. Any interested inquiries can be made here, to my e-mail address (bscottlong@webtv.com), or to my home phone at (513) 943-0329. I will be available most evenings and weekends for any viewings. I'm not thrilled to be selling my car as I really haven't had the opportunity to truly enjoy it's rewards, but my immediate financial concerns have forced me to presently part ways. My asking price is $26,500.00

Brad - I'm new to the forum as a registered member but a long time voyeur of this site. I'm interested in your Shell Valley. When can you get some pictures up? Or send them to tifahey@gmavt.net
Thanks
Tim

I just took some shots last night (after it rained again!), and I should have them posted some time tonight (Sunday) when I get home from work. It's a real nice car, and I think the photos will show it off quite well. I will try to e-mail them direct to you as well!

I think Brent might be able to help or worst case, have Walmart burn a CD and send it off to me.......Then again, I have DSL and could download them if your connection can send them.

200k isn't really that large.....you can crop the outside edges and maybe save it to little lower resolution.
Send them to me, and I can do it for you.

You still out there ? Tried sending you an e-mail and it bounced. Let me know if you're still interested in parting with the Shell Valley.

I'm still out here . . . .
I'm sorry about not getting back with everyone. Work has kept me very busy lately, but the primary reason I have not returned inquiries is due to my car itself. I have cut the file size of my pics down, and I still hope to have them posted soon. The other night I started the car to show a potential buyer, and after about five minutes of idling, it began running slightly rougher than it has in the past. I have never experienced any problems with the motor before, so I'm quite baffled right now as to the cause. It seems as if my timing might have slipped, or as if I am experiencing ignition problems. All cylinders are firing, but they are firing erratically right now. I am currently working on diagnosing the problem, but time for me is extremely limited right now. The car has always run quite well without a single problem, so you can imagine my frustration! MSD ignition seems to be working, wires all have continuity, and the Mallory distributor is brand new with no signs of damage. Right now I believe it to be a short in a wire or slipped timing, but I have yet to find time to further explore. For this reason, I have been contemplating a postponement in the sale of the vehicle until I locate and resolve my dilemma. Should anyone be interested in tackling the challenge themselves, I am willing to entertain negotiation in sale price accordingly. I will continue to update everyone on my progress, and please keep a watch for my pics coming soon - this truly is a great car for someone with true interest in owning a Shell Valley Cobra!

UPDATE - My car is now fixed and back out on the market. I had a real simple problem - a roller rocker set-screw came loose and the rocker arm slipped off the stud. Fortunately all the pieces fell right down in the oil-valley on the top of the head and not down in the engine! It's amazing how bad a vehicle will run without an exhaust valve working! The threads of the stud were mangled, but I installed a new one and she started right up. have since put another 100 or so miles on the car, and it runs great. I can also have pictures sent out via e-mail by request now! Please e-mail a request to "wlong@fuse.net" and I can have six new pics sent out that I took this weekend. The car is titled as a "1967 Cobra" and is easy to title the same in most states. If you would like to see the car in person, or have any questions, please contact me at (513) 943-0329 or via e-mail at "bscottlong@webtv.com".

Please send your request for pics to the e-mail address I outlined above! It's my Dad's e-mail so I won't be able help you from my computer - the pics are actually on his computer! If you send a request to him, he will forward my pics for you. My WebTV unit at home does not have enough memory to handle picture files, only text files. I'm currently without a computer and using his to handle pictures. Brad

The car is still for sale. I will be home Sunday in the afternoon if you want to stop by and take a spin - weather permitting. Please feel free to call me at home in the evening, (513) 943-0329. The car just went out for advertisement Thursday in the local Auto Trader Muscle, Classic, and Sports Car edition if anyone local should want to see the ad.
