Worth & what people will pay are unfortunately mutually exclusive in our current "soft" market. I did alright but still took a big loss on my car - it's just part of the business. This kind of detail, however does make it much easier to actually sell your car - it's always a matter of the right buyer at the right price!

The car is 60K as it sits or I will sell it for 55K less the Webers. If the buyer sends an intake and carb I will swap it out for them.
I can put the Webers on the new project.
Tony, you are so right.
Thanks guys,
Brent

Brent, the timing couldn't be worse for me. Several things coming together in very close proximity. I wish I could make it happen. You know how I feel about your car.

A note on that close ratio top loader.
Good call, it's what I have in my ERA. Had I seen the gear ratios for a wide vs a close ratio I probably would have gone with wide. However, the car came with the close and I find it PERFECT! With the HUGE torque our cars make 1st gear is to often "useless" because of the low over all gearing. Traction becomes a MAJOR issue, and while driving always concerned about wheel spin, etc.
The high first gear ratio in the close ratio trans really does a lot to handle those problems. Worried about it slowing you down? Think again, you will find FASTER 1/4 mile times with two identical cars on the close ratio car vs the wide.
Serious 1/4 mile Cobra owners have found faster ET's launching in 2nd or even THIRD gear due to low overall gearing.
11.90 at 121.27 with my close ratio (wheel spin is STILL an issue)!
