I just finished this Cobra and unfourtunately like some others out there have to sell their dream car. The car has yet to be titled. I have the certificate of origin and all the manuals for the car .Check your states requirements for registration. I will assist with what ever documentation is required. I will also give a BIll of Sale.I have $24,000 invested in the car in parts and kit, not to mention the hundreds of hours in the build. This economy has really hit hard. Here is a list of what has gone into the car.Factory Five 65 Mark II Cobra Replica
Engine is a low miles 5.0 HO from an 87GT fuel injected car with around 60,000 miles on it. It has been cleaned and custom painted to match the car in the combination of boysenberry with blue pearl coat. Every part was cleaned or blasted and then base coated and clear coated to match. The valve covers were sand blasted and painted with a silver base coat and pearl coated. All new freeze plugs were installed. All top gaskets are new. A new heavy duty, not remanufactured water pump was installed. All the hoses along with a new thermostat were installed. New plugs wires, electronic ignition unit, rotor, cap, and plugs were also installed. Comes with custom painted to match replacement
oil filters. Engine was evaluated by a Master Mechanic.
Transmission is a heavy duty T5 from Ford Racing and is brand new. The fly wheel is also new. The new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing are also from Ford Racing.
Rear end is a stock 8.8 rear end from the low miles donor.
Brakes are new. Master Cylinder, hoses, lines, calipers, rotors, rear drums , shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders ,are new. No old donor parts were used with the exception of the emergency brake cables and donor handle.
Suspension consist of a front fully independent tubular upper adjustable unequal length control arms with adjustable coil-over aluminum body, rod end shocks. Rear uses the stock 4-link solid rear axle rear end. All new quad shocks were installed. New ball joints, and inner and outer tie rods.
Frame had the optional black powder coating. All other components were blasted and the painted and clear coated. Interior has the optional leather seats, dash, and door pockets. The car also has the optional adjustable seat track for the driver’s seat.
Gauges are new Ford Racing gauges. The sending unit for the fuel gauge is the only thing needed to finish. New speedometer cable was installed.
Tires and wheels are brand new silver Cobra R Wheels and center caps, with new Kelly 255/40-R17 94H tires. The front tires are 17X8 and the rear tires are 17X9.
Paint is a custom boysenberry with a blue pearl coat. The car has three coats of sealer, three coats of base coat boysenberry, three coats of blue pearl, and four coats of clear- coat. The car color changes with the amount of light and the angle at which you look at it. It goes from and intense blue to a plum mist metallic. Like I said above the engine was also done to match. I can get the formula for the percentage of blue pearl, if needed, from the painter. Jack mounts which you see on most Cobras come with the car. I personally don’t like them, and think they detract from the cars appearance.
Fuel system is stock 87 Mustang tan. All lines are new as well as the fuel filter.
Exhaust has new BBK chrome headers. Both Oxygen sensors are new. Side pipes are flat black high temperature coated.
Roll bar is chrome.
Seat belts are Simpson 5 point racing harness type
