SnakeBitt 07-12-2004 09:00 PM

I would say that 1301 is 2002 for sure........don't know the cuttoff number of the 1st 2003 car.
Anybody know what the number was on the 1st SPF car built in '03?

PARINS COBRA 07-12-2004 11:08 PM

I AM SORRY IF I MISTAKEN, BUT THE INFO THAT IT WAS BUILT IN 2000 IS WHAT I REMEMBERED FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER.. MAY HAVE BEEN 01, 02. I CAN FIND OUT IN THE MORNING BY CALLING SUPERFORMANCE.

"I'd like to know what dealer he's working for so I can check the cars out and report back here. I'm supposed to be heading back home (Chicago) in a couple weeks to bring down (to SC) another crew, and thought I would drop in on Mr Parins and his SPF's. The blue one with the FE looks like a nice car and a decent price. Problem is, he's wrong about one thing or another.........if the car is number 1301 it wasn't built in the year 2000. (????)"

I HAVE ONLY 1 SUPERFORMANCE. THE YELLOW ONE IS A FRIEND'S, I WILL BE SELLING FOR HIM.

I have #1287 Ordered 11-1-01 Took delivery of roller day after it arrived at Dynamic in Ohio 3-11-02........Steve McD

MidOHasp 07-13-2004 06:02 AM

Anybody address Turk's concern?

One car...fine. Sell it for your buddy who's going through a nasty divorce and needs some help. GO FOR IT.

"I'll have a yellow one right after this..."

I am sure I could make a really pretty "PARINS COBRA" banner ad, all you have to supply is the money to Brent. :) ;)

Cracker 07-13-2004 06:55 AM

I have one for sale too and mine WAS built & delivered in 2001 and I know it. :p Indigo blue/titanium/510 hp & TQ!:D

I wouldn't have done this btw to a normal listing!

thundercat 07-13-2004 08:29 AM

Mine is NOT for sale ....I only replied to help with year of car as it is only 14 cars newer than mine...His is most likely an early 2002...Steve McD

PARINS COBRA 07-13-2004 09:04 AM

Thanks guys. I want to sell only the Blue car. I will have my friend sell his yellow car him self. I apoligize.

55312 07-13-2004 10:56 AM

Wow........Battered and bloody, Parin crept back to his secret stash of SPF Cobra's, vowing never to post a car for sale again.........tough crowd, Maybe I'll try to get an SPF just to sell it on the forum and find new friends! I was silly enough to think this was a pretty good deal for a Superformance.......

Turk 07-13-2004 11:08 AM

You me and all the members selling SPFs or any other car is no problem.

The forum has been open to the members to post and list their cars for sale.

We only get a little uncomfortable when someone who has NEVER posted anything in here before, never contributed a dime or not a single word to the discussions comes in, and has for his Post No.1 a car for sale and another to follow.

How would Mr. Parin like it, if I took a car I have for sale and parked it on the street right front of his store?

We have members who belong here, who have cars to sell. Their cars are welcome, and maybe even yours. You have over 7 posts already.

It is not proper forum decorum to post something for sale as your initial post. Tacky!

You can't go to CobraCountry and do that without paying.

PARINS COBRA 07-13-2004 12:16 PM

I totally understand.

Well maybe you can tell me where I would get a good response for a Great Car.

Thanks

Parin: Cobra Country is a great place to sell a Cobra. But hey, you're up to 13 posts here already (more than 55312 has!), so stick around and have some fun.
........Just don't try and sell any Chebby's here!;)

MidOHasp 07-13-2004 12:40 PM

Yeah I don't think anyone's telling you not to sell the car here. It's OK.

It just tips us off to look for other cobras for sale from you in the future. If that's all you're doing here, THAT is a problem. Selling this one car on your first post isn't going to get you a lineup of life-long friends, but it isn't going to get you flamed in a bloody pulp like someone on page 1 said... Not a big deal.

55312 07-13-2004 12:40 PM

Ouch....think I'll slink over to Nova's-R-Us.com and look for a 409 with dual quads......... All I want to do is buy a nice cobra from a good bunch of guys.......
Think I have to get the post count up to write the check? Just kidding......

Turk has a point but I'm new enough to miss the first time posters.

Yes, you can write checks starting at 50 posts.

Paypal, though, after 20, is OK...

PARINS COBRA 07-13-2004 01:08 PM

Will try cobra county as well. But I gotta ammit I like this site much better I may have not posted as much but you guys know how to have a great time which is cool.

Thanks wish me luck and let me know where everybody goes for meets in chicago or near by, I would definitly be there.

I want to sell this blue car so I would be willing to give a commission to this Site for sure if the car sells.

Thanks
Parin

BANDIT 1 07-13-2004 02:40 PM

I don't think it's a big deal, and in fact it might help some of the members of this forum find a car to purchase. I think if too many people come into the forum just to sell cars than there can be a fee if desired.

I think some of the comments have been "rude" to the gentleman trying to sell the Cobra, after all there is nothing in the "for sale" section that says that a small dealer or a new member can't list a car for sale (or several cars).
