Southerfriedcj -
Believe me I wish it had arrived in time but it didn't - no thrash! However some of those boys at the "Willis" were driving mighty hard in their Cobra's! BTW, why weren't you down there in some kind of x-tra TC rent-a-car? From what I hear his 944 would've been perfect for ya.
Parins - Your welcome to advertise here but I've also seen in-and-outers with ONLY the express (and first at that) purpose of selling their goods - like Turk said earlier - tacky. With that said AGAIN - stick around and keep your ad up enjoy the group. Hi-hacking your thread was my way initiating you! Have a great day!

Parins: How many SPF's did you say you had? I saw your listing on ebay and it looked and sounded like this very same car. Then I saw the picture of the dash and noticed that that car doesn't have a glove box and this one does! Looked like the SPF number may have been a little different as well (if going by the las 4 numbers on the ser#. That car would be 1304 and this one here is 1301. 1304 SHOULD have a glove box though (going by the year 2002) unless it was ordered without one.
Whats up? Different cars or different photo's?? Where's the yellow one??? (I'm only interested because I have a friend in Michigan that's interested and I said I would keep an eye out for him).

Then again,,,,,,, the guy Im bought my ERA from was a first poster, offered the car for sale, dam near caused a riot, I wound up with the nick name "Dirty Ernie" when the smoke had cleared and we've never heard from that guy again!
But, it sure was fun buying the car and I'm really enjoying it, so I guess a "first timer" post can't be all bad.

Your MO is what seemed to annoy people here, doing a search of your phone number showed that your a automobile dealer, which is why people here might have gotten upset as you use this forum as a free medium for your proffesional enterprise..The premise that your " selling the car for a friend" seems a little overused in your case. You should have just come out in the open about selling the car as a business, as you would not have lost face so quickly here.
Now, with that out of the way, you have yet to establish how this car is titled!!!! Is it titled as a 1965, is it titled as a 2001 reconstructed???? What does the title read, and what state is the title issued, as this will play a MAJOR factor in the price you ultimately will get for the car..............

yes, but in what state, and how was it done? If the owner used Titles Unlimited, and it came out of any number of states who currently have them under investigation, WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill S.
PS: Now how about answering the other concerns that a few of us have posted here.

calling cbhunter
cb,
Are you reporting that Doug says 1301 was "black" when he sold it? Like the whole car was black and not blue with white stripes?
That would be odd.....
Any idea how the car ended up in Chicago?

You guys are confusing me now with this title thing...
The car was built in 2003 right? How can it be titled as a '65?
Does that mean that I could buy this and register it as a historical vehicle in MI.? That doesn't seem to make sense...

pjs50, check with mich dmv, sos office. generally if a car is registered elsehwere as a 65 then it can be registered as a 65 in michigan with title transfer. if car is new and not registered elsewhere yet and if dmv office is up to snuff , it gets registered based on year it is first registered, not year it was built. ie, a new car built in 2003 (or earlier) and not registered til 2004 will get a special/unique mich 'assembled vehicle' vin attached and it would be listed as a 2004 model. there are some variations and some dmv offices have let some slide thru, in error, as 65's or other years. if it has a title washed registration as a 65 though, like Titles Unlimited used to do ( still do ? dunno), i would not want to have it listed as a 65 . bill, motown

Parins: I think we're all a little confused. Are you sure the chassis number is 1301? 1301 would be a 2002 and it should have a glove box (unless the orig owner special ordered it without one). Plus it sounds like we have some confusion on what color 1301 is supposed to be.
Posting a picture of a nice looking SPF and not mentioning that it is "for color purposes ONLY" isn't very stylish. Why not just post the pictures of the car you have for sale? Is it the one on ebay, or are those pictures of a different car as well?
Those are some bad "used car salesman" tactics if you ask me. I don't think they will sit well with this group.
