John: sorry to hear you need to let Cobie go. Hey, but it can be replaced later, Kids and family always come first. I am sure you know what can be done to improve your next ride. Not sure what that would be though, I thought your Cobie is one beautiful ride. I am jealous of the what you have done with it, not that I don't like my ride, but I really like some of the personal work done on it.
It was great meeting the wife and you new additions, I am sure they are a handful and I am sure you both have a lot to look forward too. Good luck with the family, and seeling Cobie. If prospective buyers want an opinion of Cobie please feel free to have them call me 248-765-9456.
I was hoping to see you and Cobie at the Fling but I am sure you should be spending quality time with the family instead of a bunch of piston heads. There will always be time later.
Give me a call if you want.
Jim

Jim,
Thanks for the kind words it is much appreciated. I have toiled this again and again and have just decided that for now the best thing to do was this. I did have every intention of going to the fling but unfortunately due to other commitments, I couldn't make it. I know of a few people from Fort Wayne that made it and a couple of them I actually work with, so I heard that it was the best yet. Darn, I should have made more of an effort.

John: any hits on Cobie? I still need to replace my seats with something more comfortable. I am trying to remember what seats you have. What are they? Leather or Vinly? Where did you get them from and how much did they cost? If you don't mind telling me. I know you modified your tunnel area. How much interference was there before you modified it?
Talk to you soon.
Jim

Jim,
I've had a couple hits one too tall, one tire kicker and one offer a little low. The person that made the offer seemed to be pretty interested and said he may be able to come up with a little extra funding around the September timeframe. If I still have it for sale at that time and they are still interested, who knows.

As for the seats, they are Cobra Classics from www.autotoystore.com the are NOT the Corbeau brand. They are in black vinyl and by far beat the heck out of the original seats that came with the kit. The cost on them was about $185 each plus shipping (I think).

If I remember correctly, I had to narrow my tunnel by about 5 inches, 2.5 on each side. I believe that my tunnel is just around 7 inches wide without the carpet an padding installed. THis is just from memory though and I've never been accused of having a great one.

John,

Sincerely Good luck to you during the adoption process. Who ever buys your car will be getting a sweet ride! I have checked your gallery in the past, as I am building an A& C with my son. Don't stop visiting the forum after you sell your car! I am sure I could use your advise and experience.

Jerry

Jerry,

If I sell it, I will continue coming to CC as I intend to build another one in the near future. If I don't sell, that's okay too I don't really need the money.

Thank you for your kind comments.
