Dan,
I haven't thought about that car for a long time.
What do you have in mind?

What condition or semblance of assemby is it? I still have the original build sheets and pictures.
I'd be interested in trading my completed, well sorted, Superformance, even trade, if it's still together as originally ordered.
Drop me a personal message at: sudans2@insightbb.com
If you'd like photos of the SPF, drop me a line and I'll send you detailed photos.

I'll give you $5.00 if you don't deal with either one of them, and you can keep the Cobra.

David,
Heck, I'll give you an extra $50 if you give Jamo enough Mead to make him fall asleep and give him a Mohawk!

You guys are brutal.
David, I appeal to your logic and basic sense of alloy allegiance......4308 originated here and needs to return home, not in some strange land like New Jersey or in that shakey place California.

Allan and Dan, what I DO know is that this For Sale thread is about a Kirkham on ebay. As was suggested elsewhere, go offline and make your offers about the other car.
Thanks.

Dan,
I have seen several used Superformance cars for sale in the 35-40K range. I am sure you would trade me for our Shelby CSX4000 car! I would too if I could find someone to trade me.
The last Shelby I saw in ebay was for 40K just for the bare frame and body. (I even put together 2 quotes for customers to finish the car here at our shop.)
As for the car, I talked with Thomas and we will probably finish the car and then sell it. Who knows when, though. I know there are very few aluminum Shelbys out there for sale right now.
If you are interested in trading for one of our cars, I may be able to work something out that wouldn't cost you too much money.
As for the car on ebay, some people think we really don't sell our cars at no reserve...I don't understand why. Maybe it has to do with all of the crap I have seen on ebay lately. Highest bidder gets the car, period. That is just how we do things. We consider our ebay cars as advertising. We typically sell 3 cars for every one we put on ebay--except for the last car. The last car we put on ebay sold us 40 cars.

Good luck with the ebay sale, it will be fun to watch.

David,
Can't blame a guy for trying! Unfortunately the cobra market is saturated with all marques and is exceptionally soft even during the relatively low APR market. With all of the new high performance concepts in the pipeline, it will be interesting to see if the cobra market rebounds or goes into total hibernation.

Endoc,
The longer we are in business the more we figure out how to make the car beautiful. The cars we brush out now, are actually nicer than the SEMA car. We have just figured out how to do it better. We sand the cars in 120 grit then we sand it quite extensively in the maroon Scotch Brite. If you do it right it really looks nice.
Dan,
Frankly, I don't blame you. You are certainly right, you never know what the Cobra market will do. That is why it is so fun.
Scott,
We are looking forrward to seeing you soon.
Jamo,
Thanks for all the kind words!

David,
The car would look pretty good sitting next to the 289 in my garage (don't you think??) buttttttt, I better not bid. My wife may not be too excited about two cars without engines.
My dad is eyeing it up though now that he got rid of his '68 427 Covette. Its time for him to step up to a 427 Ford powered car.
BTW - what kind of sanding blocks do you use on the cars? What size?
Mike

Mike,
We started in earnest on your car today. We should have it done shortly.
We use 120 grit paper and then follow it up with NEW maroon Scotch Brite. It only lasts a few seconds so plan on going through a few boxes of it. I don't know why, but it has to be new or the color won't hold on the aluminum.
Don't get your wife too mad at you! I know that can getyou in BIG trouble.

Kanuck,
The option can be added any time without any problems. It is a direct bolt on option.
