1 Attachment(s)
been wanting one for a while so i thought i'd see if anyone wanted something a big biger with a back seat.... it's NOT a restored car but a rest-mod.... true SS car with build sheet nice enough to show or drive.... check my website for pics (i need to update them... but basicly the interior looks nearly stock, green/white striped outside.. 650hp big block/ 4 speed, 12bolt, 4 wheel disks, fuel cell ($3000 stereo being installed currently) weld wheels lowered 2", lotta stuff... i know every inch of this car it would take a while to list it all ... check my website and i'll try to update it... im not looking to sell this car just trade it possibly for a cobra kit car..... if not no harm as i do love this car :)
my webpage is http://hometown.aol.com/jnkb2cool/home.html |

chev-hell:
I had an original SS car w/ the LS-6 a couple cars before buying the Cobra. They are great cars, but the Cobra will make you forget about it if you can find someone to take you up on your offer. Saw your website. Nice car! I love the green; mine was the all too common Red / Black. Good Luck! |

thanks for the compliments, yeah, every show i go to there are a few red/black 70ss cars but i think i've got the ONLY green/white around and even on Team chevelle, there are VERY few if any this same color scheme... as for the LS6.... the motor i just put in is around 650hp :) i had 450 before but went all out for a street car... aluminum headed, 11-1, solid roller all forged 454 :) |
If you're interested in trading for a kit you can build the way you want I've got a Lone Star kit for sale or trade. I'd be willing to talk about a trade plus cash if you're interested. If not, I understand. You can check out my ad here.
Thanks! Jason |

What do you want for the car outright????
:3DSMILE: |
chev-hell....as a former Chevelle owner/still current fan, you will have more fun with the Cobra than you imagine. I sold my 69Chevelle SS396(numbers match) to get mt ERA. The Chevelle was a different kind of ride. It was straight-line fun and drew its share of attention. Mine was virtually stock with a mildly warmed up engine. Going over the car to timeline/date the parts was an education, but made me nuts. I wouldn't mind getting another one someday, but only one car at a time for now.

SCREWY
this site has really been screwy,,, shows the posting from BFREER but it's my posting.... chev-hell..... so if you sent pms' just use my email ibuygolf@aol.com.... as i just had to re-register... what a mess LOL
and im NOT from VA like it's saying now... im from Ft.worth Texas |
CH- I was a bit confused about that as well, I saw your screen name as the newest member a few weeks back, then I saw it again today! I thought I was going nuts there for a sec%/ **) Thanks for clearing that up.

Mike,
You are going nuts. Cobra withdrawl has been known to cause that. Buy the Chevy, put Cobra badges on it and forget going nuts.  Ron %/ |
hmmmm... no takers? oh well, i like my car anyway :)

CHEV-HELL WHAT'S YOUR CAR WORTH
|
well, it's hard to say, an original SS car restored brings 25-50k for a 396 car and a bit more for a 454 car.... this car is a true ss car but it's been completely modified etc..... value is probably in the 25-35k range.... just all depends on who's buying it.... along with 5k worth of stereo i've just installed... it's got it's flaws but most people can't see em, but since i've been thru the car totaly, i know em all.... but just as an example i've borrowed up to 20k against this car from my credit union with no problem (all i did was make a call). this car has at leaste 30k put into it, not to mention man hours.... not to mention things you can't buy like 3" stainless steel tubing for exhaust...... plus you can't just buy a car like this... you can buy a restored car (trailer queen) but what fun are they when your afraid to drive em :)

I visited your site and the scary thing is a notation that it came to you without a front end, possibly meaning it was wrecked and fixed by you? I must say that you don't seem to hold back on input relating to the car. I'd love to have a well done Chevelle, but I've no idea how to determine that it's been done right.
On the other hand, I'm not trading my Cobra for one - I would just buy one. |
let me elaborate a little (although i still can't spell) more on it and me.. Im a member of Team Chevelle and have been for 6ish years, most people on there are honest and down to earth, no kids, no stuck-up people etc. it's a lot different then other clubs. most members are also members of ACES (american chevelle enthousiast society) and attend "Chevellabration" in nashville every year. I personaly never lie about things i know, i buy/sell cars, boats, motorcycles on the side and once tried to work at a new car dealer but failed because i couldn't lie to people (or withhold information as the dealer called it) I'd gladly nit-pick the car for a trader as i know it inside and out......
basicly the car was bought about 5years ago in Minnesota, It was a good amature restore (he did everything even paint) I flew up there from Texas and drove it back..... he showed me when he bought it that it was basicly a cab/frame and the build sheet (the only way to prove an "SS" car in 70. he had done a LOT of cool stuff to it, but I iv'e been improving it ever since and basicly re-done nearly everything again... if it had been wrecked i don't know, but it has had 1/4's put in and the entire front end was all new GM parts OEM fenderd, cowl hood, etc. which most of these aren't made anymore and OEM parts are a fortune...... I can't say that even if it was wrecked at one time that it makes a difference as these are full-frame cars... it drives straight and i've never had a tire wear in a odd pattern..... im always improving it, case and point i just finished the stereo install and with the 1" drop hotchkis rear springs in back, it dropped another 1.5" so i bought new cargo springs to replace them and give it the right height again (my hotchkis springs were only a year old if that!!) i could go on and on, but i really don't want ya to think im just pumping myself up..:D i'm also having it dyno-tuned on a wideband dyno so it runs just right (i can tune a holley, but it's hard with a sold-roller, 11-1cr, alum headed big block :MECOOL: guess i should stop here as i notice i have a whole 2 paragaraphs LOL..... |
ok, i see what you were reading, it's mis leading so i've changed it.... many of those things are old and gone!!! i need some updated pictures and more depth as the car is always changing i'll try to get the website up-dated
