If i was a millionaire lotto winner my garages would be full of exotic 1950`s 60`s 2 seater sports racing cars cobras and ferraris. But because im not i have to make do with an old `73 porsche and `65 XkE and cobra is still a short dream away because there still so many other projects in my life that take up so much time and money. I really admire guys who get two lengths of tube and a welder and build them self there dream car.
I know what it takes and i know the time it consumes because as i small boy i watched and helped my father with so many of his "starting from scratch" builds of 1950/60 styled Jaguar powered sportscars. Good luck and as i said in a earlier post please keep us posted on the progression of you leaf sprung car. There is a wealth of guys here who really know these cars inside out and are only too willing to share the knowledge and expierence with us all.

I have a basket case small block Cobra for sale. It is old and in pieces. I wouldn't mind trading for a '66 GT350. The Cobra CSX2179M does not have a title, just a bill of sale. The GT350 must have a title! I'm pretty sure all the parts are there.
The red car, CSX2321M started out the same way. I just had to add the side vents.
If you have the 1997 registry handy, look under the "M" section for information on these cars.

Now that I think of it, anyone know where I can get drawings or sketches of the body support tubing? I know one source but I am not paying that much for them. --Mark

The only person who can put you in touch with something evenly remotely close to what you are looking for is Fran Kress in Pittsburgh. He deals in the obscure and impossible to find stuff. He may have what you are looking for.
I would have to agree, though, with the others. These cars, even in salvage condition, are expensive. Everyone has the same idea; unfortunately, the market reflects it. The person who pays up and buys a nice example with a good provenance is probably farther ahead than the guy trying to put together a car that will be "storied" to death, in the final analysis.
