Begging for help again. You guys have....
been absolutely fantastic. I'm seriously considering buying a 427SC Superformance from McMichael Motorsports near Braselton, Georgia. Am I headed in the right direction? Other recommendations or suggestions? Thanks again for being so very kind.

Sounds like a great plan! They're really good people and I think you'll be happy if you buy a car from them. I have an older car and they've been very helpful in supplying parts for it. What's your plan for engine and colors?

The engine would be a 427 but....
the colors are up in the air right now. Thanks for your help. They seem really nice. Bob Ginn is my contacts name. Seems honest and very enthusiastic.

JB,
You may want to post more details. Is the motor a 427 block, or a stroked out 351? What else is in the car? What's the price going to be?

It's a 427 block from Southern...
Automotive. The car is pretty much loaded for around $58,000 but I'm still hesitant. That is why I'm on here soliciting advice. The guys on here know 1,000 times more than I do so any help is genuinely and sincerely appreciated.

JB, I've had my SPF for a little over one year now and these are fantastic cars. My advice is to DRIVE the car BEFORE you buy it to make absolutely sure you fit comfortably in it. Have you had a chance to drive any other makes/models? Also, find out who the engine builder is....not all engines are built alike. If serious problems arise later, the engine will become the weak link.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot. I did in fact sit in one and...
I'm 6'3" tall. The salesman is 6'4" and it was his car. I'll check on the engine manufacturer. I appreciate the tip.

JB, I'm 6'3", too. Removing the seat tracks and bolting the seat directly to the floor will free-up a little more leg room for you. You can fit in a SPF with the seat tracks, but it's definitely more comfortable for us tall guys using this simple modification.

I am 6'3", and my friend is 6'4", and the difference is in the legs. My left leg fits well under the corner of the door, but his knee hits the door, and he said that MY Cobra would be uncomfortable to drive for a long period of time.
Make sure you are happy with the way the car fits YOU, then buy one, and let the FUN begin!!!

If the engine was built by Southern Automotive as was posted, you can't get a better engine. That's one thing you shouldn't have to worry about.
