Dano,
Check the BJ results thread. Maybe you should ask more for the car.

This is a steal.
The SPF on Barrett-Jackson went for: $70,200. That includes the commission to BJ at 8 percent (65,000 * 1.08 = 70,200)

Blas,
it's with great pleasure that our cobras share the same heritage and appreciative ownership.

Larry,
The leather wrapped steering wheel can easily be changed back to the original wooden Moto Lita. I found the smaller leather wrapped wheel is more comfortable for long cruises. It is an inch smaller than the standard steering wheel and also provides a little extra room when sliding into the seat.
I do have pictures from my first SPF which was the same color combination with the Moto Lita installed if you'd like them.

dan,
been a while since i've posted. hope all is well. i read the forum from time to time so it appears the crowd is growing. good good stuff.
what caused me to finally come out of the wood work is to see you selling your baby. i'm really interested in what would divert your passion for your cobra! i hope it's something equally (if not more) fast and exciting.
best wishes to you and your kin,
shawn branske

Shawn,
It's been light years since I've heard from you. Hope all is well and that your Naval tour is going well.
I seriously think this is my cobra cerebral infarct revisiting, as it usually does every 2-3 years. Once the cobra leaves, 6 weeks later I start to appreciate how much I enjoyed having the freedom in a well sorted, trouble free car, embark in another hot pursuit for another one....and finely hone my use of expletives either building or sorting the new project.
Lends credence to the old adage that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". You'd think I'd learn! so much for a higher education.
If you're in our neck of the woods, the doors always open. Have you stayed in touch with Kris Kinkaid?

Dan,
The tour is going well and I am slowly progressing both professionally and educationally. Don't worry, that doesn't mean i'm any less retarded;-) Life is pretty good. They (always they) have assigned me to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One in in Pearl Harbor. Should be loads of fun. I'm not sure that I'll ever leave the tropics though. Hard to beat being able to ride the scoot 12 months a year.
I'm very glad to hear that the passion has not faded. If nothing else you will have intimate knowledge, once again, of yet another snake. What does your lovely better half think of this tom foolery? I'm sure she knows the story will repeat itself eh? Seriously, best of luck to you. I'm sure we'll all get to see the photo's of yet another dream car sitting in your stable.
Yeah, I still communicate with Kris. He seems to be very happy with his current employer, and has nothing but high hopes for the future. Kris is a really good guy, and as with you, I hope the best for him.
I'll be in Chi-town for another week while finishing up my studies on UltraSonic Inspection of Materials. I'm not sure how you guys do it year in and year out. You gotta be hard-core to deal with this freezin' weather every year. Plus you can't, sanely at least, get on the bike/in the Cobra for 4-5 months. Nah, I'll take the easier route in Hawaii.
Keep on smilin,
Shawn

LMAO!
I sold it to an Italian engineer that works for Proctor & Gamble. As I understand, he plans on retiring within the next few years and will export the car to his home in Belgium.
