Sold -----Unique 427 For Sale SB100 Registered
Hello All,
The time has come to sell my Unique Cobra.
The engine is a 427 Center oiler with 428 crank 454 cu.in. Motor, all internals from Gessford Machine assembled in Redding by a NASCAR technician. Edelbrock aluminum heads, High Torque starter, Custom Headers, Jet hot coated headers, Chrome side pipes. There is 6200 miles on engine, spectacular engine bay with chromed aluminum valve covers , Turkey pan with Stelling high riser air cleaner/K& N filter on a 750CFM Holley.
Tremec 5-speed, Jag rear end 3:54 with inboard brakes, Lakewood Bell housing and Centerforce II clutch/pressure plate.
Car assembled by Bill Emerson in Redding. S/W gauges, heater, tonneau cover, engine bay and foot boxes sealed, insulated and covered in Stainless Steel. Inside of hood and trunk covered in stainless steel
This special cobra is painted in Porsche Polar Silver with Porsche Metropole blue stripes, Dark blue leather seats and carpeting., with full bumpers front and rear.
Equipped with Trigo wheels, 245/60 - 15 front and 265/50-15 rear. Car has 8500 miles on it and it is registered in California under SB100, clean title and registration. Carera Coil over Shocks two front, four rear, front end is NASCAR style A-arms with full adjustment. The Jag rear end was rebuilt last year.
This car was built as a cruiser and is very comfortable on the road and with a 20 gallon tank, 17 MPG will cruise a long way before you need to stop and fill up. Paint is not perfect and reflects some road rash from local driving. Never been raced, on the track for parade laps only and set up as a highway cruiser/fun car.
There are many pictures in my gallery, asking $48,000. I do not need three Cobras in the garage and have decided to keep the Shelby and FFR Coupe.

Thank -you,,
No Hemi here !!!!!
But, it does seem to shock the mustang/tuner cars when I down shift from 5th and hit the loud pedal on the freeways.
The headers from Rewarder Racing Products give the 427 a bass beat that is great out on the road.

Tony,
Does this car have an SB-100 number? If it does, it may be another selling point.

Hello Rob,
SPCN sequence number 053 of the 500 from 2004, the title here in California is a specially constructed vehicle.

Hello Jim,
I bought a Super Bee in 1969....383 automatic with the little handle under the dash to open the slots under the twin hood scoops, dark green, a dark green vinyl top and white stripes around the back end.
It was lots of fun then but, not looking to relive those days.
The Unique is a terrific cobra and somebody will be very happy with it in their garage. With the SB100 number here in California it makes it a painless registration/transfer process.
Best Regards,
Tony R.

Hit the loud pedal!! LOL!!! Thats funny.
I just got my sb100 # the first day the dmv was open in January. By 8:30 am they had already issued 47 #'s statewide.
But I havent made an appointment with the referee. I also own a unique 427, what did you have to put on the car to make it pass the inspection process??
Thanks

Hello David,
Nothing special was done for equipment, the CHP put the VIN number on it and the BAR referee ran it through the smog process but , after that nothing else. The CHP did put new VIN tag on my car and stamped it with the seal of California.
A picture of the engine bay....

Tony,
Nice car.
During the process what did the referee want to see (original smog equipment for the year of the engine?) And what about the car? (what did the CHP want to see? emergency brake, wipers? etc.)
Mine doesnt have an e-brake, or any type of smog equipment. My engine is a 351-C (71 Torino?)
Thanks!

Tony,
That's a nice looking ride. Are those heater lines I see? You forgot to include that in your ad. The SB100 status is a real plus. Good luck.

Hi guys,
David...No real effort on anybodys part to look at original equipment, they accepted the car as it was presented. I did not need a brake/light inspection or any other documentation other than to document where the engine and Transmission came from to make sure they were not stolen items, they only wanted to see receipts. I went to the Los Positas college BAR location and they were very good in handling the car and taking care of the inspection. The CHP in Pleasant hill did the VIN verification.
Steven .. You are right those are heater lines and it is a real comfort on cold mornings or late night star light cruises. I sometimes overlook some of the details with this car.

Tony,
Thanks.
I was just curious what sort of, if any, Gestapo techniques that they may want to employ during the inspection process. Your experience calms my fears!!
Thanks again, and good luck on the sale.

Tony,
Not trying to butt into you thread, but I would like to give my personal experience with this car.
I have seen the car several times when he had it up here at Emerson's to have some things done and it is so real looking that the first time I saw it I wasn't sure it wasn't aluminum. This is one nice car and I would buy it if I could afford it. From my limited experience in meeting Tony, I consider him a very honest and knowledgable person, whom you can believe. If there were any problems with the car he would tell you. I rode in it over to the wheel alignment shop and it is just an awsome car. It has been a couple of years since I last saw it so Tony will have to tell you about any paint picks, but when I saw it, the paint was very good. As I said, I wish I was in a position to buy it.

Thanks Ron,
I would have liked to see the Unique in Redding...it has been a special car to me and my family. There has been quite a bit of interest in it and I'm sure it will find a new home soon.
Best Regards,
Tony R.
