Superformance #1230 for sale

For Sale: Superformance 427SC Cobra #1230. Guardsman Blue / Wimbledon White stripes. Purchased new in December 2001 from Reed Performance Motorsports. One owner, mint condition, 8000 miles, Texas title.

Under the hood: Houston Performance built 393 (351W based) stroker motor. Includes Scat steel crank, forged H-beam rods, SRP forged 10.2:1 compression pistons, custom hydraulic roller camshaft (.595” lift) complemented by Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads and intake topped off by a Pro-Systems Holley HP Series 750 carb. 505 horsepower and 500 ft. lbs of torque. Canton oil pan, ceramic coated headers, MSD Pro Billet distributor and 6AL ignition, polished stainless expansion tank, and 5-speed Tremec TKO transmission.

In the cockpit: Smiths gauges, authentic steering wheel, 5 pt. safety belts, chromed fire extinguisher, side mirror, visors, chromed rollbar, soft top, tonneau cover, car cover, knock off wheels, Bilstein coil-over adjustable shocks and Wilwood racing brakes.

Always garaged and lots of Zaino polish on the paint.

Didnt I email you a few weeks ago about this same vehicle? Was this for sale not too long ago .... what happened?

Or do you have 2 #1230 SPF cars?

You did email me. I had the car for sale last year during late July, August, and September. The car did not sell at a higher price, so I decided to wait until this spring. And so while I wish I had 2 SPF's, I only have one.

For what it is worth, I know the car and someone will get a sweet ride. Absolutley as new. Must break Scotts heart to sell her.

So far I've received pretty good interest on SPF#1230, some genuine, some casual.
In the meantime, I've added a picture to the gallery that I took last year. The sun was fading for the night and the colors on the car came out pretty well.

The decent interest level continues, but SPF#1230 hasn't found a new home yet.

I thought I would post the answers to some questions I've been getting regarding SPF#1230.

Most often, I'm asked what condition the car is in. The car is near mint, with the only slight defect being some rock chips on the lower front of the nose. Some have been touched up with correct Guardsman Blue from Superformance, and some have not. With 8000 miles (NON-TRACK!), you're going to have some chips!

I've also been asked about anything on the car that has been broken or not working. Here's the list and the remedy:
1. Stress crack in windshield - Superformance replaced it under warranty
2. Intake developed a small oil leak - A new gasket set was installed and the leak was stopped
3. Rear CV rubber boot clamp loosened up and some grease came out - I tightened the clamp and problem was solved
4. My gas gauge will not read "Full", only 3/4 Full - I never had this fixed as it didn't bother me
5. A speedometer gauge plastic gear broke - New gear purchased from Superformance was installed, problem resolved

That's it! SPF#1230 is very solid and was never abused.

SPF#1230 has been SOLD! I'd like to thank all of those who called/emailed about or visited my car.
I fine gentleman from Dallas dropped in last night and purchased it.
I was sad to see it go, but it's going to a great home.

Doug - Jack has a brother already. Evan is 15 months now. In fact, those two little guys are the reason we sold SPF#1230. Brandy and I just don't have the time anymore to hop in the car and take off. To us, the kids are more important.

As for being family, is that a good thing? Just kidding. And yes, I'll still be around, including being the gopher while you make the famous Reed Jumbalaya in Austin.
