Are you buying or selling?

I read the ad earlier today and had a little bit of a laugh.

There is an ERA for sale that looks like it might be worth while to take a look.

Bill,

Yesterday afternoon there was an ERA for sale on ebay. It had a buy it now number of 35K.

Not there now. The auction was only 2 days into a 7 day auction.

427 SO pin drives looked to be pretty nice.

Default Ebay ERA

The auction was ended early because 'the item was lost or broken'

Check the completed listings under Shelby; All Models. You'll see the car was listed twice; First on May 1 then again on May 15. In the second listing the seller dropped the Buy It Now from $45K to 35K.

The only suspicious item in the auction was the contact email address listed was a re-direct.

I'd hazard a guess that at $35K he was flooded with offers to do an 'alternative' deal?

Anyone talked to Ernie lately?

Regards,
Doug

It weren't me! Mine is running great and I'm having a ball.

I'm thinking about putting it up for sale mid summer though, low $40's maybe, maybe more. I "bore" easily and wonder what the NEXT project will be? Another Cobra? A Coupe? How 'bout a GT-40?

Shoot, I forgot to answer the original question!

Since 72prostreet is also the auction's seller ID, I'm guessing he's the seller.

What other potential buyers think of the car is reflected in the number of bids received so far. (0)

Since you asked; Personally, I think it's a primary example of an outdated show car.

At 13 years old with ultra low miles, I'm figuring that were someone to actually drive this trailer queen any distance, they will immediately experience the customary long list of problems that tend to appear when a car sits for months on end.

One photo shows that something (the hood?) has already abraded the radiator hose coming from the puke tank toward the fender?.

At $52K, I'm afraid there's an untold number of ready to drive cars that will sell before this one.

So there ya go and as always, YMMV.
Regards,
Doug

the hose damage you are talking about was caused from the hood prop,no damage was done to the hose itself as for the milage i personally drove it about 200 miles a year and the last 2 years about 350 a year ,like i stated he owned alot of cars..... and when he owned the dealerships i would take care of all of his classic cars and drive them .................kevin
