Ron,
I get the feeling that it just eats you up inside. I don't have any regrets how about you.

More fuel to the shilling fire...
HLC,
With all due respect;
He could have simply ended the auction at any time for a plethora of reasons.
He did that once before a few days ago.
He would have only eaten the Ebay fees and walked away unscathed otherwise.
And yes it's 'illegal' to bid on your own auction to"to bump it to what he wants?"
How would you feel knowing you are bidding against the item's seller??
BJ and Ebay; Apples to Oranges.
Someone else here can tell you how much it cost a seller to buy back his car at BJ. I do know it's A LOT more than the measly seller fees charged when you cancel an ebay auction early.
There was NO reason to shill his own auction other than the obvious nefarious one!
Besides it's one thing to shill an auction on Ebay and another altogether to promote his slimy behavior here on CC.
The guy does NOT deserve a break. He's an idiot for thinking we're all comatose from sidepipe fumes.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Regards,
Doug

Absolutely none. I got just what I wanted. I am certainly as happy as you are!
I know a good replica when I see one.
I also have nothing to prove.

ok. thanks for the interesting information. Yes, he should have just 'pulled the auction' with a plethora of reasons. mmmmm. I just love using big words! I still think he panicked.
A lot of negativity around here lately. Think I'll just go out and scrub my new tires!

I thought about this very hard and came to the conclusion that I could really care less if he cheats on EBAY. I f you want to buy his car then make him an offer, if not, then you surely can find other more controversial topics to be pissed at. chuck

Pat,
I paid to much for the tune yes, but I am driving and having fun. Wish I could be retired like you.

I don't understand, if no legitimate buyer steps up to the plate, you will have to pay Ebay fee's without the sale. I was wondering why I was the only bidder with any feedback. Mike

Interesting how much time has been spent bashing a guy who's just trying
to recoup some of his investment. Let's be honest most of us with Kirkham's and Shelby's would be hard pressed to recoup what we spent on our cars.
None of us want to take to big a bath on them. I saw Jeff's car when I was in Provo, it's a very nice car. If some one get's it for 85K he's getting a lot of car for his money. Best of luck to him.

Integrity. Now that's a powerful word. I wish the seller the best of luck with the sale, but don't shill bid the price up when legitimate buyers are placing bids, to raise the price. That's unethical. Mike
