I'm not familiar with the HI Tech car. Could you briefly explain this mfgr and what part of the body is not aluminum. Looks like a great car. Thank you.

MMMM, Yummy! Hi Tech made a very nice car! I have seen a few in person & they were all very "accurate" looking. They just had "That Look".
|
Hi-Tech was owned by Tom Di Antonio (sp) who now runs the Shelby operation at the Nevada prison. The complete body is accurate and fiberglass and from what I am told was molded from a CSX 427 S/C. You can see the CSX 4000 Series sticker on the picture of my trunk lid. There are a few threads about the Hi-Tech and they speak very highly of the cars.http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ech_2_-med.JPG [/IMG]

One of the most gorgeous Cobras I've ever seen is a Hi Tech that belongs to 601HP who occasionally checks in to this site. I do know that Hi Tech is no more, and judging by Surfer 44's explanation I suppose I see why.
That said, if I didn't already own a car I would absolutely give serious consideration to any Hi Tech. Build quality is always on the table, of course. If you check out the components on this one and couple that with what you can wind up with, you will be aware of why they have good thread comments. Go for a quality paint job here and you've got an awesome car for less than an ERA, and that's saying a bunch. |
