Thanks. I see it worked above. we'll see if she sells.

lineslinger 06-09-2005 01:07 PM

I'm confused,
Is there a source of info posted that I am missing? Is it body and chassis only? are there any doors or trunk lid or hood? Any hardware? Where's the Chassis? What year is it?
If you want someone to give your offering serious consideration you need to post a comprehensive and detailed list of exactly what the kit entails.....down to the last bolt.
A blurry picture and "we'll see if she sells" is going nowhere in a hurry.

I hope the following helps.

We bought the AC Shelby cobra kit body in 2001.
Chassis is a 1978 Corvette rolling chassis - there is an automatic transmission if you want. there are breaks, but they need work.
Motor is a 1970 429
We have a hood and trunk and all body panles
No interior

Just to clarify... I am so sorry this post is vage. I don't know much about old cars, cobras etc this is somehting i am posting for my husband. He bought this kit and has never done a thing with it. So we're selling. Please don't let that stop your intrest or purchase. ty

Woodz428 06-09-2005 04:17 PM

No matter what body it is,if $2300 is all your asking ,you shouldn't have any trouble selling it. Sorry to hear you have to sell. It would be a solid point of info as to the body MFG., you might ask your husband he would likely know.

bluemaple4cobra 06-09-2005 07:23 PM

Thank you. We think 2,300 is fair. We just need to get our garage space and money. We'd love to have it done and driveable, but at this point with 2 children under the age of 2 and a house, other vehicles it's just not on the top of the list. The dream isn't over though we plan to redo or buy one some day. Pass the word on. ty

bluemaple4cobra 06-09-2005 07:25 PM

Sorry, forgot to add dh said MFG is COBRA BODIES

trularin 06-10-2005 04:27 AM

Let's see, 2001, it is now 2005, children - both under the age of 2.

So, did the car parts come with the marriage? :D

Sorry to hear you have to sell. If it doesn't go faster than you expect, may I suggest you part it out.

Body should go for $500 or more on ebay. The engine could draw as much as $500 to $1000. The corvette chassie and components may draw as much as $1500.

Just my guess. Good luck. If I had the cash, I'd be seriously interested.

Bluemaple,
What city in Michigan? Maybe I can help.

I manufacture the Cobray-C3 or a body kit designed to bolt to a Corvette chassis. This is not one of my bodies and do not recognize the manufacturer either. There have been at least 4 companies who have used this concept over the years and would have been around before or in about 2000?. Maybe Cobra Dan might have a clue.
Mold lines across front fenders are a clue but engine bay photo would help to identify for me at least. ?? LA Exotics, Elegant Motors, Indy Exotics, Hunter maybe and cobretti

bluemaple4cobra 06-10-2005 12:21 PM

I'll go out to the garage and look. I'll post back soon ty

laurenskye 06-27-2005 06:37 AM

Yes, more info please. I assume it's a Vette engine? what shape?
is the tranny in good shape? What type?
What is included in the chassis? All steering components?
Are any fasteners included, bolts etc.
What needs work on the brakes?
By no interior do you mean no floor either?

I'm in Michigan and would be very interested in seeing it if you could post some more info, thanx.

bluemaple4cobra 06-27-2005 01:32 PM

Hello. The engine isn't a Vette it's a 429 ford with a C6 automatic tranny. I am in Michigan and can entertain your coming by to check it all out. THere is a fiberglass floor which is not attached to the floor. We are very interested in selling this...please let me know what other other information you need.

Anthony 06-27-2005 02:00 PM

Try selling it on Ebay, I would think you could get at least what you're asking.
