Frank,
FYI, many people might have trouble opening some of your pictures because they don't have extensions on them. Extentions (.jpg) help clarify which program to be opened in. Good luck, Matt |
Matt,
Thanks for the suggestions. I added that to the post and resized the pics to greatly speed up download time. Thanks again, Frank |
Frank,
You need to name the file then add a ".jpg" to them, otherwise even your server does not regnize them and a proper format, and few (if any) people will just download and rename a file for fear of it being virus infected. Bill S. PS: For example: http://www.bills2.us/tim/DSCN4493.JPG When opened from my server looks like this: http://www.bills2.us/tim/DSCN4493.JPG While your files cannot be opened directly from your server due to the lack of the proper file extention(s) Notice the file extention of ".JPG" |
I'm confused. www.frankstone.us is a web page. when you click on it you automaticly go there and there is a list of subdirectories. when you open one the pics are named as to what they are. they used to have a number then.jpg but I thought people might like to know what they were opening. I have had friends do it with no problem. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to eliminate the confusion. Thanks. the pic looks like a Gran Sport?

Frank,
After each file name just add back the ".jpg" file name says = B.LEFTSIDE2 it should say = B.LEFTSIDE2.jpg So add the .jpg on the end of each picture name. |
Are you working on a Mac? Often Mac applications will let you name files without the extension, but PC programs automatically add it. You can add it to a legitimate file by simply adding the period and the "jpg." On the other hand, you may not see the extensions on a PC, either; Windows XP doesn't show extensions by default. You have to open an explorer winddow and go to "Tools,""View," and uncheck "Hide extensions for known files types." Then you will see the entire file name, including the extension.
