WTB: turnkey Cobra
I just got rid of my toy of 9 years, a 496ci powered 1969 Stingray and am ready for it's "replacement". I've always had a thing for the Cobra and have decided to pursue that dream. I've budgeted for a purchase price in the mid $20Ks (not a whole lot, I realize) and have the cash available for the purchase. I've done a little homework and found that cars are available in that price range. I'm in Virginia and willing to travel up to around 700 miles to pick up the right car. Shipping it from further out could be an option too. If anyone has a car that I may be interested in or can point me in "other" directions, it would be greatly appreciated..

There's alot more option in the mid 30's. You may want to look at your budget and what you're getting for your money.

As John has pointed out there is a HUGE difference in what is available below $30k and above that figure. You may want to consider taking advantage of the low finance rates to get into something that will be better for you in the long run.

Unique 289 FIA - 351C powered
As I'm looking for a Pantera, I'd sell my car for $33K.

Pete K Indicated he might be selling.
You might want to do a search as there are cars mentioned all the time on this site.
There is someone selling a nice Lone Star for $35,000 with a sweet sounding engine.
Hope this helps.

Almost a turn key car:

The price however certainly makes it quite attractive.

Mgreene,
If you are looking for a Pantera, take a look at the 73 that Hillbank has listed. I have contacted them about it and so far it sounds great. But pictures and descriptions don't always fit the car as I am sure that you know. If I get serious, I will fly down there and look at it in person. I also have a friend due back from Alaska in a month that said if they still have it then he will go down as he really wants one.

You can't be picky for that price.

I've increased it to the low 30's.. The last one that went bad was for 32K.. That's about my limit.

Did that break some sort of record for registering/looking for a Cobra and actually buying one.
