Nothing is wrong. It's the market.Too many friggin' Cobra's for sale.
My car sat on Hillbanks floor for THREE months before it sold. |
427, whats wrong ?
getting towards the end of summer, market slows near labor day, for most of the country that foresees winter and storage not too far away. still a buyers market, has been for months. plenty of all brands to choose from, spf's among the masses for sale. you have an early car with higher mileage than your competitive used cars on the market now. you are pushing the price envelope for a new spf at $47,900. a new one at $39,900 plus someone putting in a crate motor, trans and labor, install package and getting discounts on extra equipment from the dealer perhaps means a new one can be had for not a heckuva lot more money. ford crate motors now carry a one year warranty and the dealers will haggle on price many times, a lot of hp can be bought for a decent price with a crate. two spf's that sold here recently were 9xx and 14xx chassis numbers with big blocks, mileage much less and they got $45-47k, two months ago when the market was a little better , ie early summer not late summer. \ just some quick thoughts. your color is a high demand color, the engine stout and fresh/low miles..it will just take some time sir. check out cobra country and the number of cars on the market and then check their prices and when the ads were placed. few sell quickly, and those that do were priced lower than many that are still for sale. bill. bill. |
Cool
Thanks Bill !!!
