Default CSX7014 289 FIA Car

I've seen this car for sale several times. Is there anybody around who knows more about its history?

XK's Unlimited built it from a componet car. The went all out on the build and did a wonderful job on it. In my opinion, they spent way too much to build it, and they probably lost their asses when they sold it..

As far as CSX7000 cars go, this is one of the finer ones I've seen.

Thank you very much for comment. Do you know something about its racing history?

Scuderia. The CSX7000 series cars are fibreglass bodied 'continuation' replica cobras offered by Shelby American. This particular one was apparently purchased by XK's Unlimited, a specialty car seller, in San Luis Obispo, California, some time in the last 1-3 years, and finished by them as a replica FIA competition car. I might be wrong, and if so, apologies, but I got the impression that you thought it was an original racing cobra, and not a replica, or as Shelby calls them "a continuation". Genuine Shelby, yes, original, no. Shelby American also offers this body style in aluminum, the CSX7500 series (aluminum bodies are made by Kirkham at a former mig factory in Poland). Adios, Rick.

Yes, I know that this car is a "only" a continuation car but...

I thought CSX7500's are bodied in aluminium by AC Cars.

Cool

scuderia,

You are correct, the CSX7500 series have the body/chassis made by AC.

As far as 7014's racing history, it is probably nothing more than SAAC and other open track events.
