....and now, the time has come (Frank Sinatra)
Terry,
Sorry you couldn't come up with the cabbage to buy my baby, I know how bad you wanted it.
On the other hand.....
I am very happy that Stuart is buying the car. He seems like a true 289 enthusiast that has followed the same transition as I, from his original purchase of a Big Block Cobra, then understanding the history of the car and realizing that the 289 FIA is when the Cobra reached the pinnacle of its success.
And to everyone that did come out and see the car....this was close to a 6 year build for me, lots of money and time spent doing and redoing things and I gave up many times, so to receive the kind of compliments I have from so many, it makes me glad that I stuck it out and finished the build.
Thanks again and I hope stush truly enjoys this car!
JM

John if I had been in the market when your's came up FS I would've bought it. From the pics and all the kudo's on the car it was a testament to your skills.
Glad you finally found a buyer...I know he'll be extremely pleased.

GR,
Thanks...thats what is making it hard to part with, but it makes me feel good about the build I did. Cranky kept yelling at me to "Get 'er done!".
Jay,
Trailer is still available, a couple of Crankoids have first dibs, I sent them emails, if they do not want it, you're more than welcome to it.
Please email me. If I haven't heard back from my friends, I am scheduled to deliver the FIA to Stuart in CT next weekend. I could also meet you then and sell you the trailer.

David,
Cranky and I delivered the Cobra to Stu yesterday in the pouring rain. It was no sooner in his garage than his lovely wife was drying the car with a towel.
I hope he has great fun in the car, he lives in a beautiful part of CT where there are lots of twisty, turning roads to play on.
Best of Luck, Stu!
JM

No! After Burtis took over, he ran it into the ground........Factory Five bought the jigs and molds at a "fire sale" a few years back. They are currently sitting in one of their buildings collecting dust. No FFR FIA is planned other than what Mr Bruce is already working on.
