Matching Numbers 1966 428 Galaxie 65,000 original miles
Welcome back everyone.
I have for sale a numbers matching 1966 428 Galaxie 500 with only 65,000 original miles on it.
It is in great condition. The last owner had it for 12 years and took it to over 50 car shows.
It is bone stock except for the new Torque Thrust Wheels and the engine dress up kit, and a new Holley carb. I have the original tires and hubcaps, original valve covers, air cleaner, and the original carb.
I even have the original keys!!!
It runs perfect.
The interior is like brand new and it has a new headliner.
If anyone is interested, the car is in Northern Indiana and I would like $14,000 for it. I will try to post some photos. The photos that I have do not do the car justice. Email me at byc@kconline.com and I'll email you some more photos. Or you can call me at 574-268-9453.
Thanks
Scott

Hahaha
Thanks. It really is a nice unmolested car. I think you could put a Cobra in the trunk.
And no the kid in the front seat doesn't come with it. (Well maybe for an original CSX car) Opps my wife just walked in so of course I was JUST KIDDING.
ok she's gone send photos of the Cobra to Hssssss@gmail.com

The mustang might fit but it would be a squeeze.

No Comparison
The Galaxie back seat is HUGE.
I just bought another Mustang last night.
It is a 1967 GTA Convertible. Candy Apple red with parchment interior (bench front seat) and white top.
I'll go out and measure the seats to compare.
I know the Galaxie could fit 8 adults (4 in front, 4 in back) if you had to.
I just measured. The 67 Mustang back seat is 45" across and 15" deep.
The Galaxie is 62" across and 18" deep. That is a big difference. Also the Galaxie has at least twice the leg room and the seats are "deeper" and taller.
It is a blast. I have been driving it daily this week. It is really a fun cruiser.
Here is a link to my new ad on cars on line.

Have a great day.

back seat size you say, well, in high school a buddy had one of these cars, it only had a 289 in though.........we always were at least 4 couples and many times 6 couples in it......... you see, back then only a handful of kids had cars and most had little gas money, so the more the better and more gas money........of course we didn't mind squeezing 6 or more in the back seat, that way our dates had to sit on our laps, made for some fun dates.................we had it down pat just how far we could go on whatever gas we could afford for the night...............
The back seat is really HUGE compared to a Mustang, I would not want to ride in the back seat of my 65 Fastback for a very long time, the seats are comfy, but leg room is short and you can only get 2 in the back seat unless they are really small kids........
ah, the good ole days...........

Great memories
Thanks for the post David.
I remember those days too from when I was a kid. We didn't know what "child safety seats" were. I remember I would always ride either on the rear window shelf or on the center front armrest. I suppose I would have just been a projectile if we hit anything.
We just took this car to Church. I picked up my 87 year old dad and we went for a real "Sunday drive" around the lake.
These cars are so big and smooth. You can hardly hear the engine running, the old type power steering (before it was progressive "power assisted" steering) is so smooth and you can't feel the road, and the suspension wasn't designed for handling so much as being soft and comfortable. It is almost like what I think riding a "magic carpet" would feel like.
I just sold my daily driver and so I have been using this car. I have put more miles on it the last week than I have since I bought it.
The more I drive it the more I think I just might keep it as my daily driver.
Oh yes, and if you think the back seat is big, you should see the trunk.
I'll try to enclose a photo.
Thanks for taking me down a good memory lane.
Scott

4th of July Sale (I bought another Mustang)
Hello,
Happy 4th of July everyone.
I just bought a loaded red and white 67 Mustang GT convertible and so I have waaaaaaayyyy too many toys.
So I am reducing the already great price on my Galaxie to $10,999!
I have been using it as my daily driver for the past few weeks and it runs so smooth.
Anyway, if you are interested in a rare Galaxie. This is it.
Call me at 574-268-9453 or email me at byc@kconline.com
Thanks and enjoy those Cobras.
As soon as I get some photos of my new Mustang I'll put them in my Gallery.
Scott

Steal this car
Ok, I just bought another car....again!
I have reduced this beautiful, smooth running classic big block cruiser to less than $10,000.
It is now at $9,999.99
Please, someone steal this car from me at this price....

Last time at this price
Hello,
I just sold a Cobra so I am not as anxious to sell this Galaxie at this price.
I am going to raise the price tomorrow. I know, it sounds like a gimmick, but it is true. The more I drive this car the more I like it.
I put some different wheels on it. Here is a photo.
If someone is interested in a great buy, please hurry.
Thanks
Scott

Sold
That just goes to show that if something is too cheap they don't think it can be worth anything.
I raised the price of my Galaxie from $9,999 to $14,500 on my online ad and sold it the next day.
Maybe I should have asked $30,000 for it

I was SOOO close to buying it when you lowered it to 9,999 too LMAO I told my wife if my '75 vette sold in time then I was getting this one and placing ads for it at $15k because I told my wife it was worth alot more than $10k. I haven't parked my vette in prime location because I'm not that motivated to sell it yet LMAO thinking about just renting a storage lockup and parking it in there for a few years.
You just have to park it in the right place and nice cars like that can go pretty quick for alot more than alot of the online ads will pay.
I've thought about putting my Cobra out at 30% more than I paid for it just to see if I could get some bites but I can't quit driving this baby long enough to "park it"

1967 Mustang GTA Convertible
Nuts, too bad you missed out on the Galaxie.
However,
I will be putting up a 1967 Mustang GTA Convertible for sale later on today. It is candy apple red with a parchment interior with a rare bench seat. It is loaded with just about all options...ac, ps, p disc brakes, ptop, etc.
Watch for the ad. I am looking to trade for a Cobra (or cash always works too).
Thanks
Scott
