I'm new to the forum here, but noticed an interesting thread that is now closed about how to sell your Cobra.
I wanted to add one thing to that section, but it's closed, so I'm starting this one with hopes that others will add any tips they have.
What I wanted to address is the PHOTOS you take of your cars when you place ads. Often times, they are just awful due to the horrendous lighting. It's something that's easily fixed, guys. Make sure the source of light (sun) is not facing you. If it is, guess where the shadows are going to be? Yep... the part of the car that is facing the camera. Rather than go into too much detail here, there's a source that has a great printable one-page sheet on tips for photographing your car so that it DRAWS ATTENTION. I'm passing along this link because, as a professional photographer, I know these tips to be absolutely spot on! They WILL work for you if you employ them. Check out:
http://www.cobracountry.com/home2.html and click on the button for "Motorcar Photo Tips" near the top of the page.
There's a short (1-page) printable version or a longer, more in-depth study. Obviously it was written by someone who knows his stuff.
Anyway, good photos SELL your car. I sold mine on that site in less than a week and got my asking price. I'm convinced having the professional level photos in the ad went a long way towards making it happen.
Let me know if you have any special tricks or tips that aren't mentioned in that article. Thanks.
