Default Hurricane Kit FS

Ok, Here we go ,

I need to sell my Hurricane kit due to , lets say a marital impass.( if that makes sense)

The car it now at a body shop in KC with all the body work complete on it and I am sure I could get it in primed if someone would like. Right know I have told him to stop work on it . The body is dam near perfect on it now .

The car itself is all assembled, wired , dash and gauges in place( black padded dash), all suspension done . The brakes are the GM metrics that come with the Hurricane kit . Yes,it does have the IRS , which is a peice of art work to me with 327 gears in it, check out pictures in my gallery . It has the aluminum fire wall option in it .I had a rivited on hood scoop put on with the oval in the hood , white ceramic coated side pipes and headers .Chrome roll bar , Wilwood pedals, wipers, heater defrosters. The car is set up fpr a SB ford motor.

You can see a few pics of the car before it went to the body shop in my gallery and I am sure I can get the guys at the body shop to take a few more if so desired. I would highly recommend to have it painted at the shop it is at right know they do some awsome work and would have to say you could get a top job completed for a real nice price . I was looking for a close to show quality paint job when completed and Shawn would be one person to do it.

The only thing that is missing from kit is seats , but Hurricane is now making some really nice looking seats .I do not have any wheels and tires on it either now but that is all that is missing on it .

Looking for $19,000.00 , (seeing that I sold the seats ).The way it sits now it would be about $21,000.00 and thats not including all body work done to it. Any questions e-mail me at Oblueeyes@aol.com and I can send you my phone number if you want to talk about it .

Thanks Chris

Chris,

Never mind, I told my wife what I wanted to do and it appears if I go ahead with this I might have a "marital impass" at my home. I appologize for mis-leading you at this time.

Good Luck with selling your kit.

Let me give a plug for Chris. He is incredibly picky. You won't find a better guy to buy a non-completed kit from. I am sure it is awesome. Everything he has completed I am sure is absolutely topnotch. I really sorry you have to sell your project. It was going to be a beautiful car.

What are the option & extras that bring the total to $21000.00 and how much does the body shop want to finish the job?

Sorry guys I was away and just got in ...

Dean- Thanks , I am sorry it has to go also but I will be back in the game at some point just not sure when right now.

Larry- I have not forgotten about getting you the hood scoop info . Thanks for passing along the info on my car . It is really is one hell of a deal for some lucky person, check out the following figures.

Buzz and Kanuck ,

Heres some info you guys where looking on my HM1017...

Base Kit $15990
Stage II assembly $2500
IRS $2500
Fully adjustable coil overs $50
Chrome roll bar $395
Windshield wipers $395
Aluminum firewall $275
wind wings & sun visors $126
Frame coating POR-15 $395
Door pocket kit $175
Heater defroster $274
Carpet upgrade $275
Ceramic coated headers and sidepipes $898

TOTAL $24,248

Wow I have never checked it like this , this really makes me sad , so I have a bit more than I thought in it but the $19000.00 price still stands . These prices can be confirmed on Hurricanes web site .

The extra body work I had done is as follows..
Side Louvers moved forward on the fenders
Quick jack and roll bar holes lined up perfect and fit with rubber grouments
Rivited hood scoop fit with the correct oval hole in the hood
All body panels fit and aligned with perfect gaps
Additional front body mount added at the nose area
Fiberglassed in door sill returns added
Fiberglassed in trunk sill return added
Corner hood gussets removed and reglassed in

I have a message out to Shawn at the body shop and he is going to get me pictures I hope by tonight which I will post for you guys and I asked him for a price to get the car into paint for the new owner and will aso post that as soon as I get it from him.

After that , all that needs to be done is a final assembly which would be like the drive train, fuel lines, interior, and aluminum inner fender panels . The only other additional item needed would have to be the seats as I had sold the ones that came with the kit. These could be found from alot of vendors but the ones that Hurricane are making now are really nice, very plush and very original looking.

Again the guys are Hurricane treat all there customers like kings and always go that extra mile to help and to accommodate them . There customer service is second to none.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions

Thank you Chris

If you get to it Chris, great but if you don't, don't worry about it. You have a lot on your plate!

Default Lowered price

Lowered the price down to $18,500.00 The $500 drop is kind of like spliting the shipping cost with most people ,
You cant beat this price for a assembled car with an IRS in it and the body work complete.

Default torn in california

Chris,

We were emailing back and forth a bit earlier in the week. I'm really interested but i am in california and need to get the SB100 registration. Unfortunately i am out of the country on January 2nd (the only day to get one of the 500 sb100 numbers) I'd have to change nonerefundable airline tickets and come home from a family vacation alone one day early. Any ideas on shipping costs to california? Cost of the seats from Hurricane? How long would it take to finish the paint and have the car ready for shipping? How would you propose doing this? Also, the hood scoop? Did the body not come with the hood scoop? I assume you have all the receipts. You can call me if you want to discuss possibilites. (323) 496-0131
