For Sale Unique Motorcars 289 FIA Street Roadster
My Cobra is a factory-built/"turnkey minus" 289FIA roadster assembled at the Unique Motorcars factory in Gadsden, Alabama in 2005 by the owners of Unique Motorcars, Alan and Maurice Weaver. Unique is one of the oldest-operating companies dedicated to the manufacture of premium 427 and 289FIA Cobra replicas since 1977.
The drivetrain consists of a Ford Racing 302 crate motor outputting approximately 370 bhp, a Ford toploader 4-speed gearbox and a Jaguar IRS. The drivetrain was painstakingly prepared and installed by Rick Bagley of Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Rick's craftsmanship is terrific. The engine has been characterized as a piece of fine jewelry. Only the finest hardware componentry was used throughout.
This top-end FIA should garner your attention if your interest is in a best-tradition example of a nimble and quick, driver-friendly, period-authentic 289 roadster.

My mind is always on fire
Hi Woodsy:
Yes indeed it is a beautiful car and it will make that special buyer a jewel he or she can be proud to wear, so to speak. It don't get any classier than this one.
You know me Woodsy, I am always looking.

You are just never satisfied Let's just hope the new owner will put the top down more so people can see the inside. Project under wraps... sounds kinda top secret
By the way if something is on fire, you need to put it out that burning sensation can be quite painful & expensive.

Fickled
I think that is the correct word, Juan is Fickled, can't make up his mind!
More common in the other sex .
This car didn't make it 9 months, finished in early October 2005.
Lets bet on the Under Wraps Project, my bet is under one year!!!
All I can say the 289 Unique is a nice car, very nice, a great driver.

Hi Clayfoushee:
I am not in the trading mode right now but thanks for the offer. Have you got any recent photos of your Unique for the Kentucky Cobra Club Website?

Rick, I'm sure it is, but I'm also very happy with mine, and I don't need two. A trade would be the only way I'd be interested, and after the 427FE experience, a street small block sounds appealing.
It is a beautiful car, and I followed the build closely......everything first class.

Juan, whatever project you have under wraps must be out of this world...
Hopefully I'll get to see "The Black Tie Cobra" in person eventually! Best of luck with the sale, and hope this secret project turns out as nicely as this one did!
