They were listed as a Backdraft dealer on the Backdraft site back in early 2005 or late 2004.

I called on it also, What a bunch of ding dongs. I asked what the BDR tag on the foot box said and he said there was not one. I asked why it had been repainted and he said "the paint on the car from South Africa was not good" give me a break. I wonder if this is a venom somebody is trying to pass off as a bdr.

I am not an ERA customer, but I have spoken to Peter many of times and his reputation proceedes him. The whole bunch at ERA are a great group of guys.
ERA was a dealer for Backdraft for a short period of time and did take delivery of a couple of cars, this was one of them.
The Backdraft product, specificaly paint, has gotten much better than what was on the early cars. ERA repainted the early cars that they recieved and this is one of them.
This car looks to be a fantastic buy at this price, someone should jump on it.

I haven't seen the ad but I have CN1893 - build 128. The 1893 is/are the last digits for the serial number. My build was around December '03. I received my car in April of '04. My guess would be a build of early '04.
And yes, they had paint job quality problems at that time. Mine has some blems that were never fixed. My local painter said the only proper way to fix was a complete paint job, which was the typical solution at that time.
