Texan wanting to get a cobra

Well folks looking for a finished Cobra as the wife says no more motorcycles after hitting a deer at 60 mph last year. Can anyone out there help me locate a sweet jewel? Got a budget of $22,000 to work with. My preference would be one that is licensed as a 60's cobra and hopefully located in or near Texas to limit the costs of bringing one home. Please let me know. Email me at lonestar7@earthlink.net

Call Jay Nordstrom at 972-742-2594. I don't think you can get into a Cobra for that price but Jay would know if you could.

I think you should double that number if you want something nice.

Redsabre, I have an extremely nice Backdraft that I would sell but it is going to be twice that of your budget price. It is a Texas car, and it could not be duplicated now for less than $60,000 new. If interested you could PM me or reach me by E-mail at DON16CIN4@YAHOO.COM

You come up some, maybe I come down some. PM me, Brudda. The weather is finally cooling down enough to drive without feeling like a turkey in a convection oven!

Redsabre,
I have a very nice Cobra for you in Chicago, but you'll need to expand that budget about 10K more. Check my ad under cobras for sale. "LA Exotic for sale in Chicago".

I want to thank everyone who responded to my note. Got some good advice and a look at a few great looking cars out of my present budget. We will be watching for a good deal in the meantime and working to stretch our budget & save a bit more, which ever comes first to make the buy of a lifetime.

Found my cobra

Well boys and girls, found me a Midstates cobra here in Tx. Needs some work to get licensed/inspected but all in all should be a nice ride. Thanks for all the advice and responses.

FYI, i ran into a guy the other day who wants to sell an unfinished kit...Positives: the guy had $23k in receipts..he received the car because he loaned $$ to a group who wanted to build cobras...the defaulted on the loan and he got this as collateral...Negatives: its a Streetbeast kit...he wasnt sure what motor the car has but said its new...maybe an opportunity for the right buyer..if you have interest, let me know and i'll fill you in on the details
