Contemporary CCX-3152 for sale or trade
It seems like a terrible time to sell a Contemporary, but I think I will ad to the pile... I'm not leaving, just moving on for now. I am really looking to get into a 1993 Porsche RS America, low miles, very good condition to VG+.
I looking to get $38.5k for my Contemporary... It's a 1988 Don Borders built Contemporary, Don built the best of the best and this car was his personal ride and a show car for several years. It was featured in Kit Car at least once. (I have one of the mags.) It's got polished 4 piston ZF brakes, polished rear hubs, differential cover, painted chassis... Cosmetically it needs help. It looks like a 40 year old car (which is kind of cool actually). You could paint it or leave it alone and drive it. I like it the way it is.
1966 535 hp C5AE Mediun Rise Sider Oiler, with less than 5,000 miles. 10.8:1, .015 over Arias forged pistons 10/10 steel crank, leman rods, polished medium rise intake, makes 100 psi of oil pressure at speed. dual 660 mechanical holly's MSD, flexalite fan, toploader... 3.54:1 salisbury 17" PSE wheels. New (less than 500 mile) Goodyear F1 supercar tires. Spare wheel and tire. Smiths Gauges, New (never installed) Robbins soft top, Contemporary side curtains.
The car is "SB-100" certified in California and is smog exempt here FOREVER. It wears California plate 1COBRA1.
More photos in my gallery. I'd consider selling 3152 as a roller... Make me an offer over $25k for the roller.

An awsome Contemporary Cobra and at a price too good for anyone looking to pass up. Wish you the best of luck with your sale.

It needs work... This car is ready for paint. I just love the paint job that's on it so... The interior isn't perfect and it could use a set of carpets. It had cats living in it when I got it... (not kidding see my gallery first page).
That said the car is priced to sell. I'd bet Don had $70k in this car back in 1988. I got it and bought it right... I cleaned it up and got it on the road. in 2004 I dropped about $12,500 in the engine and it SCREAMS. I'd really like the buyer to have some experience in FAST cars. I've had this car for about 5 years and made it better. I hope the next owner will make it even better still.
My wife suggested I buy the Porsche without selling the Cobra so if it doesn't sell before I pull the trigger on the RS I might keep it. Stage 2 of my plan includes a Kirkham and maybe not even an FE car... So we'll see. For now it's for sale. I may be at Infineon Marty if you want to come by. PCA (Porsche Club of America) will have the track this weekend...

Hey Mike, I'm glad to see that you didn't let this car go to seed. I've been in the market for a while and would like to see the car. I'm in the Sacramento area and could make arangements to meet with you.

Looks like i overpaid for my Cobra from Fred Dieker.... Guess he got me! If he'd only return my calls... the four bald tires i got when he said the tires were good and the conv top he never sent me after forgetting to put it in the car when shipped. Sometimes Lesson's in Life aren't so cheap! Oh well... lesson learned. Keeping the car and sinking a few more thousand in to it.

I'm in Vacaville, 30 minutes from Sacramento. Say hi anytime... 707.235.6639
I don't know that you paid neverwouldof, this car is a steal. Buy it as well and average the cost of them both will be less. I'm surprized it is still in my garage to be completely honest with you. If it's still there in 2 weeks it's coming off the Cobra's for Sale pages and I will keep it. The housing market and values are in the toilet here in California. With the "SB-100" exemption I would have thought it would have lasted a week. I think the housing market / refinance situation is scaring people.
I quit my job and if I keep the Cobra I am going to be financing the Porsche. I need to get the deal done while I can still claim my former employer of 10 years is still my employer or the interest rate on a 14 year old $50,000 car will kill me.

The car is in Vacaville, CA about 35 minutes West of Sacramento and an hour or so East of San Francisco.

Thanks for the kind words guys. My timeline for acquiring the Porsche is quickly evaporating so I need to go to plan B. I think I'll hang on to 3152 for awhile. Ironically, as much as my wife complained about the car especially early on she probably played the biggest factor in encouraging me to keep it.
