Shell Valley (My Baby)
Due to a Family emergency (this is not a put-on) and after exhausting all other options I must sell my Passion. I bought it last year and while towing it back to California I had the most wonderful dreams of driving it. Hopefully in the near future after this crisis passes by, I will once again have my dream. It's been wonderfull looking through Club Cobra each day for almost the past 2 years and sometimes participating, of which I will continue to do.
This whole thing came up so quickly that I don't have pictures as yet but will have them by the 4th of July. Never figured I would be selling the Cobra so I really don't know what to ask so I guess I'll just go with the best offer. Enough of my crying and let me give you a list of what I have: I've spent the last year collecting parts I felt I would need to make this as close to original as possible. Complete Shell Valley Kit Kevlar Body Brand new set of Trigo Pin drive wheels with adaptors and New Dunlop Tires All lights including turn signals Chrome Roll Bar Complete wiring Complete Door,Hood and Trunk hardware (handles, hinges etc.) Windshield with Windwings and Visors Mirrors All correct Body Emblems Leather Bucket Seats Steering column with a Wood Rim Motolita Wheel with a Cobra center cap 4 speed top-loader trans. Lakewood Bellhousing Tilton Pedal Assembley Slave Cylinders etc. All brake lines 428 FE engine. This came as a complete engine with all brackets, starter etc. so you won't be searching trying to locate those hard to find parts. The block, crank etc. have been Hot Tanked and Magna-Fluxed for cracks (none found). This engine is so low mileage that it is still standard bore with now scarring and the crank just need a minor polishing with now grinding. Al you need to add are your choices for speed equipment (Heads, Intake Manifold, Carb etc.) Set of 428 Headers and side pipes and a complete 428 header kit with professinally fabricated set of header flanges with 2" tubing stubs welded on. I was going to make my own wet of custom headers. I'm sure there is more and like I said, I will have pictures by the afternoon of the 4th of July. Pictures
I need to apologize for the pictures not being here on the 4th. I finished the pictures but it seems that Gateway Computers server was down and has been down until this afternoon (the 6th). My comuter at the office does not have USB Ports so I couldn't download from there.
I should have them on here by no later than tomorrow. Thanks for your patience. Peeps |
Pictures Finally!
Here they are and again thank you for your patience.
Just a couple of things as you look at the Photos. The reason for the Rear Brake Calipers not being mounted is that I am in the process of Safety Wiring the rear end. Also as you look at the Engine Block it looks rusty. It isn't. It seems that here in California, the EPA has outlawed Hot Tanks for boiling out engine blocks because of the Chemicals. They now "Burn" the block and it comes out this Reddish color looking like rust, and also not in the photos are pics of all of the other parts (brackets etc.) for the engine but if you would like them please call and tell me. Since I went to Trigo's, Shell Valley said that I needed to go to there shorter A-Arms otherwise the tires might rub on the Fender Well, so the photos you see have the new A-Arms and I have the older longer ones. I will be home all weekend if you have any questions. Sorry to hear about your family crisis. Hope that turns out okay. I've looked at your pics and they're interesting. I have not owned a Cobra *yet* and am wondering whether I am up to the task of continuing your good work. In fact, I haven't rebuilt a motor before -- that seems to be hard enough, without considering the remaining assembly. Please let me know your rough price range so I can better evaluate my options.

Reply to CKENTB about Prices
CKENTB,
Thanks for your interest. I have over 24K invested but I know that I can't come close to that when I sell the car. Some where in the high teens maybe? I assume that you have seen the pictures and since you so close to Carmel, let's set up a time for you to come see exactly what I have. Again, thank you for your interest. John Peoples |

Here we Go Again!
Here we go with round 2.
For reasons that I can't go into here, the deal fell through with the 2nd buyer, (NONE OF WHICH HAD ANYTHING REMOTELY TO DO WITH THE COBRA). So I guess what I'm trying to say is that the car is still available. To those of you who have responded, Thank You and please call if you are still interested. Again, Thank You John Peoples Work Tele. # 800-972-7727 Home Tele. # 831-626-1514 Work e-mail john_peoples@sscsinc.com Home e-mail 5peeps@gateway.net |
