Bob Beverly Transport - DO NOT USE!
CC Members,
Be very cautious, avoid using Bob Beverley Transport. He was contracted to pick up a car for me and has walked off with $5650.
The plan was to PU a chassis for me and pay the maker. He then started with the stories as he was held up after getting hit by a UPS truck with a Bentley in the back of his truck. Really? After weeks it became clear that this was not going to happen. I arranged for another transporter who has since made the transaction.
Before I started requesting my funds back he would always pick up the phone or even call for an update. Eventually he produces a million appologies and eventually stops responding to any sort of communication. Last we spoke he told me that his wife, doll she must be, takes care of the money transfers. After communicating with her she said he handles all the transfers. Not a group to do business with!
If you ever plan to do business with these characters be cautious or better yet avoid him. Find another transporter....
Karma is a Bi-tch........I hope she is rough as a corn cob while she rides hard on his ass.........

Lawyer up and go for what you are truly owed. Sometimes, a threat or perceived threat of a greater loss for the person at fault is your best bet.

I have used Bob Beverly to transport vehicles on two occasions. He was 100% reliable and delivered the vehicles as promised. He was also more reasonable than many of the other transporters who gave me quotes on enclosed one level transport. He was paid when the vehicle was delivered to my residence. From my experiences I would recommend him highly.

I certainly hope to report that he has returned the funds soon. I also heard only good prior to now. For what ever reason I am getting the run around at this stage. Rest assured I will report the results of this event. I hope to make a retraction as it will be easier the obvious........
Will keep this one up to date!

Update:
I heard from Mr Beverely 12-01-09 and he said he would transfer the funds back 12-02-09.
Since then nothing, no return calls, no response or acknowledgements.
Anyone know the legal process?
I would like to place a lien on something, cause him to take notice etc......
HELP!

Update:
Mrs. Beverley (Debbie Moose) had called and said that funds would be sent back the week of 12-28-09. Unfortunately, she had issues and was unable to make this happen.
New plan is return of funds by 1-08-10.
At least they are calling back......wish me luck.

Hope that you receive your refund soon. Seems like a lot of stalling for just refunding your money. However there is a person on the club who had a devil of a time just getting the bank to transfer his funds to another place. He spent a day or so in a motel because of their screwing around.

I am in the trucking business, Flatbeds-Oilfield, If you are using any transportation companies at this time double and triple check their info. Especially their insurance. The first place they will cut is usually in that area. Times are hard everywhere. One of the largest asset based flatbed companies just declared bankruptcy and locked their doors leaving many drivers and employees jobless the week before Christmas. A good trucking company will have no problem with you asking and doing your Due Deligence. If they balk, Run Forest Run!!!! Just a reminder.

I hope you get your money back soon. But I can't help but get the sinking feeling that someone else is about to repeat your ordeal so that you can get whole again.

Continued saga!
DO NOT USE BOB BEVERLEY, ROBERT BEVERLEY, RWB EXPRESS or DEB MOOSE his lovely wife
They will not do the right thing.......probably sell your car in the process?
They have admitted that they spent my $5650 as times were tough. After several calls, promised cash return and even partial return of $ without follow through. Calls are no longer being answered........
These folks are con artists, crooks and liars. A real non-American! Don't let them haul away your prized possesions.
I have initiated the legal chase to see what the law will do now.......Wish me luck.

Jeff, this fellow is in New Jersey, no? Jersey has a criminal "theft by deception" statute. Skip the civil suit and meet with a local police detective, swear out a warrant, and have him arrested for stealing from you. Trust me, that's more leverage than nagging them and the judge can always order restitution, usually on a conditional basis (meaning they stay out of jail if they pay you back the money). Quit screwing around and do it this week.

I googled RWB Express and it came up with Princeton, NJ. I guess that's a different outfit. How did you come up with this guy to begin with?

Great question, actually the $5650 question.
Two friends had recomended this guy, assured me he was an upstanding person and that is it. Simple and yet so complicated, too bad he is such a snake. This is a tough world now he will get the $5650 bill plus court fees. Tried to make it easy even offered payments.
Hope I doesn't end up with a hunt....

Update:
I am working with the State of NC to get this guy in jail. In the mean time he is doing this same thing to others.
CAUTION, this guy is a crook and he will not deliver.
More to follow......
