Another, very good, update. George emailed to say my roll bar has shipped and included a tracking number. Yee-ha!

Snake / Gerry ... George also said "(your) R.B. left the same time. Insured for $300.00. The paperwork is filled out for the same amount. No tracking # because I had to send it express mail to get one and that was an extra $23.00".

Is there anyone else waiting for stuff from Kustom / George?

Yep, I'm waiting for a set of GT40 pipes. Ordered on April 6th of 2001 and paid for in full.

Yes, still waiting for the remainder of my order which was paid in full on 12.23.01. Last communication from George was the remaining parts shipped on 3.7.02, long time to reach CT from Idaho.

Also waiting for a refund of the $101 COD shipping charge since the parts were ordered in 2001 and the price quoted, paid in advance, included all shipping charges.

Thumbs up Thanks Petek!!

That sounds good...except for the insurance of $300.00 U.S. it will probably cost me $300.00 Canadian for the brokerage fees and tax. Well...! I guess George is paying me back for posting negative feedback on him!

So Pete!! Will you have the Snake finished for when your Dad shows up?

OK GUYS!!!!!...Lets get those past due orders loged in on the site so you can get your parts.....Suuuuummers Comming...and it's TIME TO RIDE!!

Snake.
Just like an old girl friend of mine, her bumper stick said..IF YOU CAN CATCH ME, YOU CAN EAT ME!!

Snake,

One way or another my Cobra will be done (enough) that I'll be able to take my dad for a ride. I spent the evening rewiring my dash to make it easier for the body shop to remove / install. Got the O2 sensor bung on order (air delivery cost more than the bung). Won't have the side pipes coated in time so I'll paint them with POR20 (silvery high temp paint).

Snake,

The only way to remove a post (that I know of) is to edit the post, removing all of the text and leaving nothing.

I quoted him exactly ... sure sounds like he's sending you a roll bar!

Ya...! That's what I though too...delete everything and leave it blank...! Well I hope it'a one....don't need the headers now...to bad I would of like to see if there would have been a differance between the CR stock one and Georges....Oh well.
Pete....! What collor are you going to pant the snake....I'd love for you to send me some pic's of it when it's done. I've got to wire my dash up too....going to fallow the CR manual, I'm not to sure about this....but I figure I can do it....the stewart warner gauges I got....seem to have short cables for the tach and the speedo....not sure how the go? do they go through the fire wall and down....or do the go through the hump in the trans? can you help me out with this one.
Thanks.
Gerry.

P.S. When did George ship out the rollbar.

George said he shipped on Friday 4/12.

The speedo cable goes through the firewall, loops back to the tranny.

Blue with a silver stripe.

... answers in reverse order

Thanks Buddy! I don't get the (answers in reverse order bit). Must be because I just finished a 12 hour shift, and the brain is starting to work slooowly....The collor sounds really nice. Any hints on wiring the dash you could give me.
Gerry.

I used a painless wiring harness for my car. Wiring the dash isn't a problem with the harness, fundamentally you're just terminating all of the wires with a switch, gauge, or lamp

One of these days I'll post the wiring I designed for my M6GT (Manta Montage). Designed from the ground up to be overly complicated and over kill

I picked up the full-width stainless steel roll bar from George at Kustom from the post office today. The workmanship is great! This is one strong roll bar. Now all I have to do is cut some holes in the body and figure out how to mount the silly thing!

George needs to start using the little brown trucks. The USPS is great for small packages but bigger items need to be UPS or Fed-EX
