I am in the process of building a midstates now.
I can tell you that the experience with Bob Kallio
and staff have been nothing less then the best....
Bob and staff always have time to answer any questions. Also he always returns calls!!!!
I had a few changes that I wanted when he was building the car. NO PROBLEM... When I received my car I really didn't like the gauges...No Problem .
Box em up and send em back! When we finally decided on the gauges from auto meter (smith look alikes) he informed me that a new dash would have to be cut. No problem send it back. N/C...
If you want any more info e- mail me.

Steve, thanks for the reply. That's encouraging feedback. In what stage of completion did you purchase your car and are you now finished?

If you haven't already, go to (forums)-(manfacturers, tools,
and parts)-(Midstates cobras)-(Midstates owners) and you will get a good feeling for Midstates kits, Bob and his employes.
I built one of his kits during the winter of 1999 with my son
and I can't tell you one horror story, only good ones.If you want
more info and pictures e-mail @ babcobra@juno.com

Koadog,
I purchased my midstates as a roller. I had my rear shortened to accomodate the deeper dish ps engineering wheels. Bob also put in new moser axles. The roller came with all major parts drilled for and fitted. As for where I am?
The body was off to install the engine, tran and all other goodies. Now the body is back on and
in the process of fitting sidepipes etc. The engine has been run with the body off just in case??? The car is all wired including the dash.
The wiring harness also stays with the body so it comes apart real easy!!!! Here is a pic of 1 of the ship photos Bob e-mailed me the day the car left.

Hey dog,
Here is a picture of my Mid-States during the build.
Bob is a really easy guy to work with.
I had no surprises during our deal.
E-mail me for more pics and any questions.

one more...
This Mid-States belongs to Rick Bruty.
It has a 351 with a Toploader and 9" Ford rearend.
Bob says its best to drive the car 1,000 miles before you paint it. Great idea. I don't want to lean over fresh paint to adjust something.
Good luck,

MIDSTATES IS TOP NOTCH !!
Koadog,
I purchased my Midstates over 12 yrs ago. Bob had just
introduced the new and improved bodies. They were awsome.
There were fewer seems to deal with and the glass was
unbelievably smooth. They have since improved it even more.
After 12 yrs I still feel like part of the family cause that's what
they are all about. I don't care when you call them they will
take the time to help you out. To be honest you won't have to
call that often because the build is pretty striaght forward.
All the MOG (Midstates Owners Group) members are great people too. They have several get togethers during the year.
A quality product with great customer service. What more could
you ask for ?
Hersh

I agree, 100%!
KOADOG, I am the second owner of a Midstates I bought about 4 years ago.
I've made numerous mods. including changing the rear shocks, wiring changes,
radiator, carb. to replace EFI, and adding new headers/exhaust. Bob Kallio
didn't know me from Adam, but he's been very helpful, patient, and sharp with
the advice. This company supports the car and the owner LONG after the
initial sale. I also feel that their fiberglass body is one of the most "correctly"
sized, and finished in the business. The car is well laid out, logical to work on,
and drives like a dream. I'd buy another Midstates in a heart-beat.
