Default Katy Hydraulic, a great find!

I spent all afternoon yesterday trying to get some new braided stainless brake hoses made. I have received an education... that very few shops do this work. Then I discovered Katy Hydraulic Hose Service. They are located in Katy, Texas at 1322 FM 1463, 77494 (281) 392-8823. www.customhoseoftexas.com They will give fast service and ship anywhere.

Both Dennis "El Presidente" Mosley and myself have had hoses made at Aeroquip in Houston lately. So Yesterday I went there first and it was clear from the moment I entered the door they did not want to help me. It was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be recommending them.

Jim

Default yeah buddy

Halleluja brother. I found him a couple of months ago. Prices are reasonable and the man can make anything.

Given the liability issue we've come to expect in this country, I imagine most companies would be reluctant to make braided brake hoses.
They are not DOT approved in most cases; however, I think Russell makes DOT versions which pass the "whip test".

Talking brake hoses

He even has the DOT approved brake hoses. That is what I had him make for me and he showed me the difference between the DOT hose and what the local speed shop was going to sell me.
