I would suggest once again, that mutliple issues regarding Jet Hot all get grouped together under one thread if possible...MR MODERATOR???????
Jinx,
I would suggest getting in contact with "The Powers That Be" at Jet Hot and ask them to log on and read these threads about their business practices. At one point, a couple of years ago, they used to scan for information on themselves on the Net, that is how they found out about my issues with Jet Hot and reimbursed me.
I will try and dig around in my files and find the name of who I spoke to. I believe it was Chris at the Bridgeport, PA location and he was very helpful. I was just as pissed as you. Two or three trips with worse results everytime. Between Jet Hot and UPS, I was very near going POSTAL after all my attempts at handling it in a rational manner went unheeded.
I feel your pain.

JET-HOT Pleased - somewhat/mostly
I spoke with Todd out of the PA office, he was very cool and level headed with me. I called him (every day) to let him know that I was concerned about receiving damaged goods back from them. I think that about after the third day he must have taken my concern seriously because he said he had already called the Mississippi location and spoke with the shipping manager and told him about my concern. I am very impressed with how the headers and sidepies were packed upon their return to me. These thing were wrapped up so well that it took me well over 1/2 an hour just to take the wrapping off of the things. Upon inspection I found things acceptable except the finish is a bit more "Orange peeled" than I would like to have seen.
Like I said, I called everyday for two weeks and voiced my concerns and even offered to pay a couple extra dollars for extra packing in the box which I think they charged but it was worth it not having the headaches that it seems some people have had.
I spoke with Chris once and he didn't seem as freindly/helpful, I also spoke with Dave in the customer service department a couple of times.
I guess I have learned through my years in this area that you need to make sure people are aware that you are no dumby and that you will call and bug them to make sure you are getting what you are paying for.
Hopefully my post here can be of assistance on how to handle JET-HOT and others for custom work.
John

Bonyhadi,
Everyone does it their way and that is fine. I just am the type of person that doesn't like to deal with people after they have messed something up. So I was more pro-active and I didn't have the problems several others here have had. When I called them everyday, I wasn't on the phone for more than a minute or two at the most per occasion. Whatever took place in the plant there my phone calls must have concerned them as it took a couple of extra days after one of the sidepipes were found to have a quality problem necessitating a rework.
I will say that if I hadn't read about the problems others here on CC have had then I wouldn't have been so anal about contacting them (JET-HOT) and making them understand that I am a serious consumer and demand quality the FIRST TIME.
All I know about this situation is that 3 weeks and 2 days after I sent them the parts they were re-installed on my Cobra, I guess that sure beats the 3+ monthe that some people are waiting for theirs.
So other than having more "Orange peel" on my pipes than expected, I am 100% satisfied with JET-HOT.
I will definately agree "Word to the wise, read these posts". AND LEARN FROM THEM.
John

I was told up fron that the Tempe location was running 3 weeks behind. It took just over three weeks and they were headed back to me. I took five weeks in shipping via FedEx Ground and they traveled all over NORTHERN California and Arizona. I called FedEx everyday with the tracking number and for the first three weeks they said it was picked up in Tempe (3 1/2 hour drive from here) and they don't know where they are now. At one point they were in Sacramento. Anyway, after all this the onle damage was one turnout was slightly flattened. That was a year ago in August. They are rusting (they had rust before I sent them to be coated to be fair) between the individual pipes on the side pipes. The headers look great.
