Curt, That's what we plan on doing. This was an asset only purchase with the backorder liabilities. We will be indemnified from any claims, warranties, etc. prior to the purchase date. The backorder issue was a big one for me. My partners and I have been through this type of purchase many times over the years and I assure you this will be done properly.

Big debate on that John--That will be Don's decision so I'll let him speak first on that.

I'm not a big business man or anything but I always thought it was odd that someone would buy an existing business and change the name. Kinda like starting from scratch. I guess the concern would be if the exisitng name has a really bad reputation. So call it Classic Roadsters II, the continuation series!

If we called it CR II then it wouldn't be an original anymore would it? Of course I do know where the CR warehouse is and it's loaded with old brochures and paperwork. We could still call it original and use the newfound paperwork.
We are not going to change the name and yes we are going to get all tradenames, etc.
I do like the idea of CR II the new generation! We actually deliver what we sell! Wouldn't that be a kick in the butt!

For what it's worth...
Don Scott has treated me so well I had already begun to think of him as the "real" purveyor of Classic Roadsters information and expertise vs. anyone in Fargo anyway. It has always seemed odd that Don S. and DV anchored the service aspect instead of CRL themselves -- kudos to you guys.
I still need to purchase the body and interior and will wait for Don's decision before moving forward. I'd rather help him than CRL by virtue of his outstanding customer service alone. I'll just drive around in my rolling chassis for a little while longer!

Brose, tape a couple of flashlights on the front, then buy one of those tractor umbrellas and bolt it to the e-brake handle, a set of goggles, a leather helmut, and you're good to go! Whoooo-Hooo!

I like it! The Gasholes Classic Roadsters II C427 Road Serpent counterfeit embarrassment replica! We could use that in our new serial numbers. Vin# GCRIIC427RSCER001.
DV, I am going to run a family business until 5pm. After 5pm then we open the XXX Classic Roadsters II books and novelties shop.
Well it's a thought, I don't think my wife would let me anyway.
Hows this one, a little tamer!

Don give me a call if you need some help, with anything, It looks like I might have some time on my hands after being laid off from Northwest. I'll be up that way on the weekends racing.
I also have a ton of parts, (motors, rearends, etc.)

Ernie, that's funny! I don't know where people come up with this stuff but it's great!
Dave, Sorry to hear about your job. Tough times we're in right now. Thanks for the offer, I'll let you know if I can use any help.

ccoe, I don't have any here but I am going to the factory this week and I'll see if they have any. Otherwise it's called a bulb seal, self adhesive, 3/4". Any body shop should be able to get it.
