tilton racing
Seldom do I feel inclined to praise a company for doing their job, but after a failure of my hydraulic throwout bearing, I went in search of info on the Tilton unit as a replacement. I ended up talking to a gentleman named Mike in their engineering department and he had several solutions to my unusual design problem. One solution included a special part they make that isn't listed in their catalog, so it pays to ask the right questions. Mike went beyond just helpful.
I won't know for several years (I hope) about the reliability of the product, but the technical support was excellent!
Bravo Zulu to Tilton!

I have also heard good things about tilton. They make nice stuff too.

Tilton
If you are a fan of the Carroll Smith books as I am, Carroll was always singing the praises of Mac Tilton. That is good enough for me! Tiltons product is hard to beat.

I've worked with both Mac and Carroll and can vouch for their integrity. You can put what they say and do "in the bank".

Cool!
You worked with Carroll Smith!?!?!
Way cool. I met him at the Run Offs back in '86. It had rained like crazy and his trailer was stuck in the mud. I helped him push it out and in turn he autographed my copy of Tune to Win. Three year ago my wife put that very same copy on the garage sale table for a buck! So I bought it! What a deal.
What was your involvement with them Tom? These are two guys who really know what they are talking about.

Hi rdorman<
Besides my involvement in similar racing circles, I worked with both of them while authoring or publishing books. One of the books I wanted Carroll to write was on high-performance fittings, fastener and plumbing, which he finally did after I had moved on. I worked with Mac and vice versa on clutches and a book related to clutches and related hardware.

Charlie,
When are you gonna post some pictures of your beautiful ERA in your picture gallery?
BTW, when I had a problem with one of my Tilton MC reservoirs cracking at the mounting base, the service department shipped a replacement to me free of charge, long after the warranty had expired. That's great customer service and smart business sense. I'll always do more business with a company that stands behind their products.

Mike I.,
I think you know what my car looks like already, so don't try buttering me up for a loan so you can go buy that car lift you are lusting for . . . I am broke after buying this Tilton throwout bearing! I hope it gets here soon, I am going into withdrawal seizures.
