...Holley, in Tennessee (I think), has a specialty division that will restore/rebuild old carbs...

Disassemble completely, dip in NAPA carb cleaner and rinse, glass bead all metal parts, sent the steel parts out to get plated, dip the aluminum parts in a chromic acid bath to turn them yellow again. Reassemble with new gaskets and soft parts and throttle blade screws, add teflon strips around the throttle shafts to remove slop. Wasn't that easy? or send it out and have somebody else do it.

I second the Ponycarb shop in NY. They rebuilt our Pantera carb and did a fabulous job. It wasn't cheap but then again the top jobs never are.

Another consideration in having PONY restore your LeMans carb is that they will rework the circuits of the carb to correct a couple of metering problems that these carbs had. They will also calibrate your carb to match the specific engine the carb will be mated to. They will be doing my LeMans carb very soon. As previously mentioned, they aren't cheap but the quality of their work is well worth the cost and they are still cheaper than the Holley factory.
