Street Beasts?
I've recently gotten back into the Kit Car scene, and I've started researching by buying several auto enthusuiast magazines.
In some of those publications I see full page ads for a company called "Street Beasts". The product lineup looks almost identical to that of the dreaded CMC.
Are SB's products the same as CMC's?
If so, are the same questionable business people behind the newer company?

I believe Street Beasts bought out CMC, being run by different people now, I THINK.
Still a controversial company at best, perhaps better than it used to be?

It is the old company under "new managment and ownership". They are trying "Very hard" to overcome the old negative image. When they took over the company (bought it out of bankruptcy) one of the stipulations was they honor any old contracts that people might still have. I was able to recover my thousand dollar deposit and have been happy with them so far. I took delivery of the first part of my kit in Feb. 2003 and hope to take delivery of the rest in the next month or so. They are adding new services daily and are one of the sponsors for this years Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach. They have several factory authorized builders that I have met that seem to be genuinely interested in assisting the builder/owner of Street Beasts kits. If I can be of any further assistance e-mail me at earlsflyin@aol.com.

Any bets that the people "behind the scenes" ARE different than CMC, FibreFab, Innovative Street Machines, etc., etc.?
DV...the kit car world is still..."buyer beware"
