Dynamic motorsports??
I am about to buy a new Superperformance Cobra chasis from Dynamic motorsports with no motor/tranny, Torick motorsports is doing the install for Dynamic.
Dynamic Motorsports wants all the money up front for the chasis before the engine is installed. Does any body have any experiences dealing with Dynamic Motorsports in the same situation.

Butch,
That is standard procedure since you are buying the rolling chassis from Dynamic Motorsports. You will pay Torick for the engine install. There are a lot of members here that bought their cars from Ron and Dean Rosen (Dynamic Motorsports). They are great to work with. You are in good hands.

Yep, That's True............
Butch:
Ross is right. The Rosen's are great and you have no worries. I bought my SPF last March and it was delivered in July as promised. I still don't have an engine in it and it would be unfair to expect Dynamic to wait for their money. Their part is done (except for needed service) once they deliver the roller.

We purchased both our cars from Dynamic and have had great experiences. Both cars came in a little earlier than expected and Mark ,in the parts dept., has been very helpful. I'd recommend them to anyone that is looking to buy.

While I do not own a SPF, I do know that the Rosens have a top notch reputation as SPF dealers................If it was me, I would not hesitate to plunk down my cash with them..............

the entire SPF organization is great to work with, and their areas of responsibility are geographically assigned . Your location falls in the area the Rosen's are responsible for , as is my area. They are OUTSTANDING folks to deal with, before, during and after the sale. and it makes no difference whether you bought your car new from them or used in their dealings with customers. all customers are equals with them, and the other spf dealers as well. as has been posted already, the $ deposits required are normal within the industry. Rest assured, you are in good hands with Dynamic. Bill, SPF #156, built in 1996 and looking as good after all that time as the new ones do today.

as Trustworthy as they get!
When I searched the world over for what I considered to be the absolute best Cobra I could find, I ended up calling Dynamic Motorsports to order my Superformance Mark-III.
I'd like to say we made a handshake agreement, but we didn't even get that close... we spoke on the phone a few times, and then I sent them a pile o cash and they got me my car. No contract, no papers, and I hadn't even met them before. I wasn't worried at all.
My car was delivered across the ocean and arrived in Ross, Ohio in just a few weeks, where I picked up my car. Then I finally met them for the first time! lol.
Really good people, treated me like a king and still do. Dean seems like my long distance brother more than a dealer, Ron my uncle, and all the guys in back like my cousins. I got my second Superformance from them in the same manner, but this time I got to shake brother Dean's hand in advance. ;-)
I would trust them with anything and everything I have... er, wait, I think I already have! And from every other Superformance dealer I have met as well as Ronnie Kruger and Jimmy Price at the top, I would do the same without reservation. They are all just a whole different class of people you do not want to miss out on experiencing thier friendship!

I believe that Dean Rosen and his father are the standard for professionalism among car and replica dealers. I got my rolling body from them. I have heard nor experienced nothing negative about them. They keep their word and exceed customer expectations. They are not selling a completed Cobra. They are selling a rolling body. You are responsible for the install of engine, trans, etc.
I let them show my car in the Detroit Autorama. They covered all the shipping expenses to deliever the car to my engine installer. Some of the parts from the install kit that we got from them did not work up to specs. They replaced immediately with no questions. Months later I drove down to Ross to change my steering wheel size, etc. and they did the exhanges at no cost to me. Everything except the original paperwork was handled via verbal agreement. They kept and exceed their work in all instances.
Randall says it well. You are becoming part of a family -- a highly functional family.

I couldn't agree more with all of the above. The Rosens/Dynamic are first class all the way. I never hesitate to recommend them and I trust them completely. Since I began dealing with Dynamic 2 years ago the Rosens and the entire staff have delivered on all promises without fail. How many organizations can you say that about? The purchase process is a standard thing as far as the timing of deposits and subsequent payments, it is customary to pay for the chassis prior to engine install. Go forth without fear!

It would be redundant to talk more about initial purchase but I can attest to the fact that they go above and beyond long after. I bought my car from Dynamic in 1999 (if you are slow with math that is 5 years ago). I had it in there just a few weeks ago for some last minurte "stuff" before I moved to Texas and outside of the Rosen's customer base (in other words, they had no obligation in terms of warranty and now little motivation in terms of future business to take "special" care of me). I saw the invoice on some paint work they had done (nearly a grand to clean up a little mark in the paint). The also leveled the car on all four corners, changed oil, put new MSD distriburor in, New intake manifold gasket, bled brakes, and a BUNCH of other small stuff and all they charged me for was the distributor cap and gasket.
Yep. My next vehicle will be another Superformance. But I have to wear this one out first and with 5 years and 20K miles, it is still like new. It is indestrctable ----- WELL, unless you have it stolen and slammed into a telephone pole at 100+ MPH.

The Rosens and Dynamic Motorsports
Butch, sorry, but I have to disagree with your statement.....
"It is good to know that Dynamic Motorsports has a good reputation"
They have a "GREAT" reputation
I recently sold my Superformance Cobra. Should have had my head exaimed for selling it although I was considering doing some updates to it and decided that it would be cheaper for me to just sell mine and start over with a new one.
Although I have not pulled the trigger on a new one yet (can't decide on color), you can bet your a$$ it will be another Superformance purchased through Dynamic Motorsports.
In the past 5 days I have visited Dynamic twice, and even though I currently do not own one, they still treat me a part of "The Family".
Brian
p.s. hey Randall........in my book, you are a "KING"

Butch,
Redundant, yes, but Dynamic really does have a good reputation and it's SOP to buy the car from them first, then contract with the engine builder. It's hard to imagine coordinating operations between Ohio and SA, but, as I recall, my car arrived on or a bit before the due date (November, 2002). Considering all the logistics involved, I think the folks at Dynamic do a very good job of moving the cars through the pipeline. They're also very enthusiastic and knowledgable about their products.
You need to get your driveline installed soon, as it's almost warm enough to get out on the road. Well, I was out Friday for a little bit, but it's not really warm enough unless you just can't stand it anymore!
Congratulations on your new car. Looking forward to meeting you at the WCCC events this summer.

spf 1837
i just picked up spf 1837 this last saturday. i'm from the chicago area and had an open trailer so that every time i looked in the rear view mirror i realized there is no real need for viagra. dealing with dean rosen, jim gander and mark dove made the entire process enjoyable and alerts us all that there are still great people out there to do business with and these are some of the very best. i heartily recommend that you can do business with them and have complete faith that you are working with true professionals that love their business and do it with ethics. my engine is a 577 cu. in (429 slightly enlarged) with c460 heads flowing 525 cfm, crower rods, je pistons, 1250 holley, titanium valves, external oil pump and a stefs oil pan. the engine makes insane h.p. no need to talk too much about it.

I met Dean Rosen at the Portland (Oregon) Auto Show. Although I purchased my Superformance from a different dealer (closer to me), Dean pulled me on the other side of the velvet ropes at their display and we chatted for about an hour. What a tremendous fellow. I would not hesitate to spend a whole bunch of money with him- I know his word is as good as gold.

Agree with all above. Top notch organization and they stand behind their product. I suspect all of the Superformance clan would agree. (Now if it would just stop snowing....)
