Sounds like this Jay guy is a real scumbag.

All I know is Ed's going to have to get himself a secretary to keep track of all of these forthcoming documents. DVSF IV stuff, Classics by Elite stuff, good grief! It must all be piling up!

Unhappy Makes Shelby look good!

I will have to quit complaining about the 1 1/2 year wait for my car. At least the ones that have been delivered are good!

jdog
P.S. It must be harder to build these cars than I first thought!

I don't believe that they are hard to build, but its all relative I guess. I farmed out the body and paint work because I thought someone else could do a better job. That being said I've learned a hard lesson about this industry...... it is full of the GOOD, the BAD and the plain ol' UGLY!!!!!!!!!

There seems to be more than a fair share of crooks and incompetents in this business. Why is that?

Honestly, I don't they they start out intending to be "crooks." But, so many have gotten in over their heads with insufficient capital, and an inability to handle a production schedule. Promises are easy to make and hard to keep. It's even happened to "legends."

Simple answer Cowtown...
When people are following a dream/monomania it is very easy to be blinded by your DESIRE rather than follow your common sense. A lot of predators know this, and it aint just Cobra hackers.
Find a guy who has had a passion his whole life, feed him the right talk and he'll swallow hook line and sinker. See it every day in mortgage business, hardworking families burned by jacka$$es looking for a quick buck.

Excellent point Clay.

Running a business is hard demanding work, you don't set out to loose money or hurt people. When your back is against the wall and the rents due and it's all going to hell, well, life sucks for you and everybody around you. Not making excuses, just recognizing reality.
