Hi, Doug -
I've been slowly and steadily pecking away at the to do list on the car, while sort of keeping a low profile here on the forum. I figured with the multiple years of stops and starts, it's better to let everyone know when it's done than to keep saying it's coming.......but, it's coming!

Jamo,
As I mentioned above, the car is coming, albeit more slowly that I (and likely everyone else) would hope, for numerous reasons. The guys have been and remain awesome, and I have every intention of letting everyone know when it's done, with photos, etc. For now, if I may suggest, take the sticky off the thread, and I hope to in the not too distant future have another, different thread when the car is done. With that, the guys who are interested can poke in on the future with the car, for which they are in good part responsible for.
I guess the only place it would fit is in All Cobra Talk, or perhaps the Contemporary Forum, but without the sticky for now. I'm aiming for the next 6 month window for a all new thread about the car being completed. That's the goal, anyway.
Hope I didn't poke my nose where it doesn't belong.
Doug

As it is really about a Contemporary Cobra and subsequent build, I'd suggest that sub forum.
Maybe sticky it on the top there as there are still quite a few of us who following it

I think this fundraiser was kinda like the "dream plot" from Dallas. You know, you wake up and find that it all never really happened....

Hey, guys - I'm here. It was no dream, just a very long time ago. I've been progressing on the car, but it's gotten to the point where the electrical and some fab work is all that's left. I just last month sent the car to a local professional builder to finish that up, as fab and electrical work are two areas that I'm terrible at. I asked him when he picked the car up if it would be done in time for Spring, and he said he's pretty backed up and that wasn't likely. I guess he'll have it done when he's done!
The engine should be done next month, so once the car is done I'll put the engine in, tidy up all the details, and at long last I'll be finished and driving. Maybe by the end of Summer? Who knows.
All else is good, health is stable for now.
Thanks for remembering me, Doug.

I'm with Pat on video.
I hope you get to drive it by next summer. You've been VERY patient and it's taken a while, but I'm glad it's still happening.

Thanks
Thank you, guys. I appreciate you all. There's only two options here - be patient and keep plugging along, or quit. I ain't no quitter.
