Default Trunk Penetrations

I am looking for any ideas or suggestions for for sealing my trunk penetrations. I am almost ready to title my car and I am afraid the they will shoot me down if they see daylight from the trunk. I have the roll bar penetrating the trunk floor, The frame mounts for the rear bumper and where the fill tube for the gas tank comes through. If anybody has pics, ideas or suggestions it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff G.

Hey Jeff, these will get the job done inside or out.

There are cheaper alternatives that can be opened and fit around the bar with it in place in the plumbing aisle for finishing off pipes through walls. You could also put rubber grommets in there either by sliding the bar down through them or by cutting the grommet through and threading them in around. What is your roll bar diameter I may have some pieces to try. Put some pics in your gallery when you get a minute you're a hell of a car builder!

The concern that I have with the penetrations is that the gentleman at Morristown MV said they should not be able to see light from the pass. compartment to the engine compartment or vice versa. I assume that applies to the trunk as well, considering they want the battery in a sealed box vented to the outside. Nick also thanks for the complement, I am a little slow with figuring out how to post pics. I believe you can see my pics in my public profile, Let me know if you can not see them

Ask them about an Optima battery. Totally sealed, so no venting to the outside is necessary. Nice billet aluminium hold-down that eliminates the need for anything on the top of the battery. I'm using the GM style terminals, which makes the installation behind the passenger seat nice and neat. By the way, my battery is over 10 years old and is still working AOK. Check out their web site. I should call and ask them. Its to bad I already installed a sealed battery box. I am using an Optima battery and was planning on changingthe box back after inspection. Once I hear about Optima batteries I will post my findings. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm trying to find 1.75" roll bar bezels. Finish line only has 2" bar bezels and i am only able to find the 1.75" round ones but not the oval ones. Any ideas?

Interpenetration of a cylinder on an angle through a plane. It's for the rear brace where it goes through the body.

OH.. I have a round one there with a rubber grommet.. The angle on your brace must be pretty steep. Good luck. Have you ever seen one?

I make the oval cutout, thin down the edge of the fibreglass on the inside and make a grommet from vacuum line slit along the side and superglued together at the ends. It matches the grommets I use on the hoop and looks very tidy.
