I used to go thru a painful routine realigning mine. Going forward and back turn right and left, climbing under the car with a flashlight at times. Then I found out this was not needed. Saved me a real hassle that I'm glad I no longer need to do. Soon as you go thru a turn they will move wherever in relation.
Seriously though, unless your running a spool or your gears are welded. The two sides run independent to each other. No need!
