Odd turn signal question

I have a Contemporary Classic Cobra from 1991. Odd situation this past week that I may need suggestions to check out. When headlights and parking lights are off, both turn signals work correctly. If I turn on the headlights, the right turn signal stops working. Left still works correctly. When I turn off the headlights, the right turn signal works correctly again.

All has been working well for many years. The car was built with a trailer light converter in the system. Should I suspect the headlight relay, the flasher, or the converter? Does anyone have experience with this issue?
