Default Front Shocks

looking for a pair of original Koni shocks for a torsion bar car. They can be new or old, used, in need of rebuilding etc. If you replaced your front shocks with a different brand that you like possibly you have a brand name and part number you could share….

Jon, my car isn't here or I would check my Koni's for a part number. Hopefully another CCX guy has his car available and can get you a part number off their Koni's and a call to Koni can help you line up something that'll work.

My understanding is that these shocks were sourced from Koni just for Contemporary. That part number comes back as shocks that fit a VW. It could actually be that this is the shock body that was used. If they have the correct mounting type top and bottom and also valving it could be. Two things I would do is first call Peter Bayer and see if he maybe has any information about how the front shocks for the CCX cars were developed and sourced, and then call Koni and ask about the part number and if they have any records and what they recommend.

Worst case, if you can wait, when my car gets back from the interior shop I'll pull a front shock out and take all the necessary measurments and we can go from there.
